Great food and service! Best huevos Ranchero mexicana!

So much food! My server was fast and efficient, attentive and the food was filing and delicious. Half of the food pictured is my friends breakfast, but all this food was probably $22 worth of food. Amazing ??

Once about ten years ago their credit card machine broke down. I said I rent nearby and can go get my checkbook and return to pay. Guillaume said OK. I was back in about 20 minutes and he accepted my check which was good. Guillaume trusted me! I was very happy with Walleye and Lake Perche, which is really Silver Bass. I told my friends in NY to come here for Lake Perche and float at the buoys with a cartridge belt. There are no méduses and no hammerheads.

The service, cleanliness was first class. They were very busy but our food came out hot and fast. Had the Stuffed French Toast and it was the best I have ever eaten.

Quick service, very clean, generous food portions (omelets are made 6 eggs!), attentive server, and the food was delicious and fresh!

OUTSTANDING! Great value, super service, family feel and the BEST and BIGGEST milkshake I've ever had. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

My wife had just come off a hitting streak, picking two home runs in Chicago and a solid ground rule double in Michigan City. We even got a walk when she decided she wanted to run into town late for desert. So when she was picking breakfast, I wasn’t going to step in and ruin her mojo. And we ended up at Memo’s. Look. It’s a fine place, but you should know what you’re getting yourself into. It’s the kind of place that your grandparents would take you if they were feeling extra generous…but your high-maintenance aunt would find a dozen excuses not to join you. When you pull up, you’re instantly aware that you’re not in for a 4 course breakfast at the French Laundry…actually, speaking of laundry, if you’ve got a suitcase full of sandy undies, drop ‘em in the coin-op laundromat next door while you eat. The place clearly used to be a Chinese buffet. I guess standard American breakfast had more call round these parts. Again…not judging it. I actually really enjoyed my meal. I had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs on top over easy. Normally I would get a Benedict for breakfast, and they did list Benedicts on the menu, but this just didn’t seem like a Benedict type of place. It seemed more like a biscuits and gravy type place and they were top notch. My wife on the other hand, well…she’s pregnant and taking care of what she’s being extra cautious about catching any bugs. So she wore her mask in bless her heart. Nobody else of course was wearing a mask in Memos. Nor was I. But she did and we both sort of felt a bit of the “who-does-she-think-she-is” vibe. And then she asked for tea and was offered two varieties, black and sweet. She declined. And when she asked for a cup of hot water, WHICH WAS PROVIDED UPON REQUEST, if was like we were asking for our waitress to move a mountain of something. Walking away mumbling and stuff…Then to top it all off, she asked for her pancakes to be gluten free. This restaurant is an exceedingly mediocre breakfast joint mainly for locals. And I’d say it serves that purpose wonderfully. But for us, or anyone looking for one last tickling of your tastebuds before you hit the open road, maybe consider skipping this one. To reiterate, I liked the food, it just wasn’t what we expected based on other reviews. Have you ever read the thrifty nickel while waiting for your laundry at the laundromat? This felt like the thrifty nickel was a place that you could go and get a pretty good and inexpensive plate of down-home breakfast food…just bring your own herbal tea and hot water.

This place (and its sister restaurant in Walkerton, Indiana) ae simply gems. I've only sampled their breakfasts (they now close at 3:00pm) and found them to be terrific. The pancakes are world class great. Their extensive menu offers just about anything you'd want. I really like the Popeye omelet. One caveat, you'd better be hungry if you order something that comes with the pancakes or be prepared to take a box home. The service is very good and the ambience (including the rest rooms) just fine. Try this place - one visit won't be enough.

Great place for brunch, fast service & wonderful food. I would definitely recommend and go back when in the area.
