The stuffed pizza is amazing and a great deal, a large is 22 and can feed 4-5 people. However the sandwiches aren’t such a great deal. I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich for my daughter and it was tiny. It was basically a chicken tender on a bun. $10 and no sides.
What a great spot to have pizza. Bartender was really sweet. She was busy handling the entire place on her own. Food didnt take long refills without asking.
Visiting from STL and wanted a good Chicago pizza. Ironically the locals recommended “Local Option” and it didn’t disappoint!! Prices were more than reasonable and it was absolutely delicious.
Disappointed with the food, service, and wait time. Don't understand why our server didn't like us. First time my son been in a bar. And what a horrible experience. Hell she hated us so badly that the owner/ manager guy took over the table from her. And we are a please and think you crew. And we always tip big. Won't ever go back.
I placed a to go order, for a stuffed pizza. Cheese and Pepperoni. It takes a good 40 minutes for this to cook up and get ready. I showed at exactly 40 minutes and paid, then pizza was brought out.Pizza is definitely a Chicago style. Thick heavy crust, pepperoni, cheese then red sauce on top. This is heavy stuff. 1-2 pieces and your done.The crust had a good flavor, was thick and had good crisp. Pepperoni was there, however was fairly faint due to the large quantity of cheese. I would almost suggest extra pepperoni, if you like pepperoni. The red sauce had excellent tomato flavor.This is a full blown bar. You have to go inside to pick up if you place an order. There is smoking inside, so if you don't like smoke....it's here.If visiting Michigan City I would definitely recommend you try Local Option stuffed pizza. It's a well done Chicago style pizza.

We like to be out and about during the day. This "Local Option" is a superb one for lunch. The bartender, Deb, is friendly and provides great service. Now, let's talk about this food!! If you're a first timer, try the thin crust pizza... it is absolutely the bomb ? I understand why it's award winning. Don't stop at the pizza, however, the pork tenderloin is spectacular. Also, it's made from scratch like most of the menu. Stop in if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!
Second order of exact same pizza to go. All veggie, no cheese, no meat; same way I've ordered pizza for 30 years. But theirs was bland both times. Plus, for the recent order, dealt with a rude person who seemed they'd rather not be bothered by a customer. No problem...this one's gone.
We were in town for a few days and found this place online. We went for the pizza and pool tables. It's an awesome bar, with an amazing atmosphere. Great food, drinks and people. If we make it back to the area, we will stop in and have another great time.
The food is horrible. Do not get the Italian beef because it just pot roast with cheese. My hamburger was half done. The pizza made me sick. Their customer service is not great either. The guy giving me my food started arguing with me because I was checking to see if all my food was there. Never again
