Oh my gosh, SO GOOD! The line was super crazy when we pulled into the parking lot, but we gave it a shot anyway. We began to doubt our choice when we walked into the lobby and the register line was backed all the way into the dining room. BUT (!!!), seriously you guys, our wait time to order was LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. ?They had 6 registers going, not including the drive through and it all ticked along like a well oiled machine, despite what might have felt like chaos to the outside viewer. And I desperately wish I'd had the wits about me to get the name of the young man who took our order. He, legit, had the patience of a SAINT and dealt with my family's own brand of chaos with smiling grace. ?Our food arrived very quickly for being made to order and was so so good. I think they should also get extra bonus stars for having a somehow simple yet extensive menu that managed to please even my pickiest eater. I got to enjoy a meal without one single complaint from any of my people. Just for allowing me THAT rare experience, Culver's gets 10/5 stars in my book! ???
This visit was priceless! We got food there for the first time for two of our grandsons, and what made it priceless was the 7 year olds remark that he made in sheer wonder like a scientist discovering a new planet:"Grandma, what is the place this food came from? We need to eat there more often! Like 3 times a week!"That was too cute, and I told him I'm so glad you enjoyed your lunch! The boys, 7 and 10 were just completely wowed by your double cheese burgers and fries, which they thought were beyond great!I'm very much a fan of your grilled chicken sandwich! All your food is terrific and high quality! Thank you for being there, you are among my favorite places to go to eat, and now you have two new enthusiastic young customers!
The food is always good, the sundaes are the best, and I’m always excited to see what the flavor of the day is.They don’t mind if I order a kids meal which is just perfect for me since I can’t eat many fries anyway. There’s really no downsize to a kids meal. Dining in, you get unlimited refills (so who cares if it’s a large cup or a small cup?), the burger isn’t that much smaller than an “adult” burger, you can swap American cheese for Swiss cheese (and add mushrooms for a mushroom Swiss burger), AND you get free ice cream. YAY!!!I don’t think I’ve ever had poor service at Culvers. I always enjoy my visit!
Through the drive thru I ordered a medium diet root beer with no ice. The first cup I got had ice. The second cup was only half full because the server said there was too much foam. The third cup I got was only a little more than half full. I gave up because I determined that the server really didn’t care about customer satisfaction or in doing a decent job.
We typically stop here on our multi-state travel and that was a big mistake. We walked into the lobby and we were two of about 15 in the one line/register. The staff was either limited or very slow. By the time we received our butter burgers, we bit into it and said "this isn't a butter burger, it is a burnt burger". The cheese curds were less than desirable and the Malt that i had, was the best of the three.
Overall, pretty decent, but the burgers tasted pretty under seasoned. Good portion size, bit pricey, but still always enjoy a stop at a Culver's for some frozen custard.
In my opinion, if you want a good burger and ice cream (frozen custard) please eat here! My son and I noticed that no matter how long you eat your custard it doesn't melt like ice cream. Service was excellent and kind.
I love this place! They have a great drive thru system! Great food cooked to order.. the line is long sometimes but their mushroom swiss burger (amongst most other food items) is worth the wait! ?
I've never had a bad meal from Michigan City's Culvers. 100% of the time it's been excellent and they have great customer service. If they make a mistake, they compensate you. I've never seen them be gruff or unfriendly. The culture here seems extremely positive and just makes me feel good to be around.Honestly, I think this's the best fast food place in the LaPorte County area. Specifically the Michigan City branch. Like hot dang this place is tasty; whoever they have making these burgers is top-notch and they always give you bang for your buck. Thanks, guys.
We eat a A LOT of culvers restaurants whenever we are on the road. The Michigan City, IN one was terrible! Service was bad, got our food order wrong, women's bathroom was disgusting, and dining room area was dirty & not being cleaned up, ketchup on the floor, light bulbs were out above booths!Obviously a poorly managed location!!!
