I’ve always loved Chipotle. This location is clean but they need better customer service. Why work with people if you don’t like people? I just don’t feel like my business is appreciated when I visit. If gas wasn’t so expensive I would drive to another location. This location always makes my food right and it’s always fresh, but they aren’t the nicest staff. I’ll probably just order online from here on out.

This store needs help!!! I went there on Friday, June 3rd at around 6:00. It wasn’t busy at all but the place looked liked 5 bus loads of kids came through it. Every table was dirty, the make-table was dirty, even the counter in front of the register was dirty. The floors were also filthy. I actually thought that if the health inspector had randomly stopped by they would have definitely been cited. The only friendly person there was the lady preparing the orders. She had a great smile, made eye contact and seemed to care that I was buying something. The lady at the register however, didn’t even greet me when she took my money and she didn’t have even 1 second of time to look at me or acknowledge my existence. I most likely will not go back even though I was told that the Michigan City Chipotle was better than Valpo and Portage. If it is supposed to be better than the other two, my Chipotle days are over!!

I just come from this store again Sunday that seem to have a major problem brewing. I travel to multiple Chipotle Grills but this one seem to have a problem. While other employees where working and trying to keep up with the customers orders, the one woman l believe was a team lead or supervisor was chatting and joking with them. she at the last minute cut in to help them and tried double charge me for steak and when I told her I didn't ask for double, I ask for a little more because the potion was so small ,she chuckled and said " that's a lot of steak, It's ok though" like I'm getting over on her .....Someone really need to train her on how to work with her staff and not joke around and not be sarcastic with customers and emulate all the other stores

They can't even get enough people to show up for work to open the place! Can't even remember how many times I have gone there and they wouldn't open even though they had several employees inside. Terrible attitudes and service!

We arrived right as they opened. The lady who helped us initially apologised that they were understaffed and not fully prepared for opening—no rice, no queso, and certain meats weren’t ready yet. Fine, whatever. We tried to be as accommodating as possible and I waited on the rice for my burrito. I want to say the people dishing the food were very courteous and pleasant.But the lady checking us out was extremely unhelpful. Barely spoke or acknowledged us. When I asked for chips and queso she seemed to ignore me until I asked again. Then when I told her I had a reward to scan for the chips and queso she said nothing. And then, of course, turns out my reward didn’t even go through. When I asked, she just shrugged and muttered something about how it didn’t ring up. No apologies or any other effort made.The salad was super small and the rice in my burrito was undercooked and over seasoned. Overall an unpleasant experience that could’ve been made better of the cashier had actually done her job and didn’t act like an impassive, uncaring robot. $28 wasted for subpar food and horrible attitude from the cashier. Also, no trash cans out so everyone was just piling their trash on top.

Great food & the staff, Shelby, in particular, was super nice and made it a good first experience for me :)

After walking as the only customers in the store we waited 5 plus minutes at the counter for someone to help us, before leaving without food, while they chatted amongst themselves. One of the employees proceeded to make his own food and sit down to eat while another made an online order without even looking at us waiting to be helped. Normally I wouldn’t care to wait due to short staffing and needing to complete their workload but with five employees, 2 chatting and sitting on the counter where food is prepared I find it quite hard to stick out the wait when basic cleanliness is not even achievable for this location. The meat also looked old and dried out like it had been sitting there for hours.

It was ok. Not really my style of food but kids love it. Anyway it it has a few choices burrito, bowl, and 2 others rice meat and some veggies

The brisket is delicious. Try it on a corn tortilla shell. Easy on the cheese tho.

Today I ordered the Steak bowl or as I like to call it, the fatty gristle bowl. It used to be pretty pleasant but the last 2 I ordered, I spent more time pulling gristle from my mouth than eating it. Won't order Steak again. Maybe Ill stick to the chicken next time.
