Great outdoor dining...Love the sweet potato fries !! but , miss the dipping sauce ...
was an awesome experience. Will be back when in town.
Overall we had an ok meal. The atmosphere was great. Our table overlooked the water and we saw the bridge turn for the train. We also saw a speed boat parking. This was the highlight of the meal. They provide paper xerox copies of their menu and plastic ware. They serve their beer in the cans. They serve their water in plastic souvenir type cups. This is all fine, but their prices do not reflect this. They charge more towards a finer experience. (At least a real menu and silverware experience) For this kind of service the prices should be a little lower. However, the food was just average. We had the calamari. It was very bland. The sauce they provided with it was marinara. That was kind of weird. I expected a cocktail type sauce. We asked for ranch. We were charged .75 for it. What!? We wouldn’t have needed the ranch if it was tastier. We also tried the brisket sandwich. The meat was very tasty but also full of fat. Big huge chunks. Not worth coming back for. We also had the Pub fish. Although it was good, I could have cooked it in my kitchen after getting it frozen from the grocery store. Again, we asked for a dip and was charged .75. The service was very poor. Our waitress did not tend to our needs at all. After our food was delivered, after serval minutes we had to flag down just any waiter to help us before our food got cold. I will say the young lady that delivered our food was very efficient. I watched her clear tables and deliver food the whole time we were there. She deserved all the tips. Our waitress was never in sight. We also waited a while for our check. So, overall… this restaurant was a bit disappointing. The food and service quality do not meet the prices. They need to work on their service. We may make it back here for the atmosphere alone. We’ll definitely try something different to eat if we do. But their are so many restaurants in Michigan city to choose from, it may be a while for us to choose this one again.
0/10 do NOT recommend. Go somewhere else. The picnic tables are not shaded well and will burn your legs. The food is not worth it at all and is overpriced. Not sure the work environment is great either, as we overheard employees saying they don't care because it's their last day.
It's reminiscent of older harbor resteraunts, awesome atmosphere hardworking staff excellent food. Sorry I didn't take pictures. We sat indoors without ac (we keep our house around 68) but with the fans in there we thought it felt great and not a single fly visited us. I had the perch. The lemonade was fresh squeezed, little details like that was nice.
Great little outdoor patio on Trail Creek with fun staff. Food is good and the drinks are cold. Nice specialty drinks for that Summer day in the Sun! Watch the boats go by or if timed right, you can watch the bridge turn and the Amtrak train blow through.
I love sitting out by the water and being able to bring my dog! great service and tasty food!
Stopped for drinks that were very good. Menu looked good, will have to return to try the food.
One of our family's favorite places to eat, great vegetarian options plus very pet-friendly for our dog! Food is delicious and the wait staff are always helpful and attentive, even on busy days. The outdoor seating here is a highlight of our summers here in the Dunes!
