Bad service waited hour for food n said I get a discount never got it

We had our vow renewal reception at the Albano’s Villa on Johnson Rd and everything was perfect! We cannot say enough good things! The staff is so sweet & kind and the food as always was amazing! Thank you!! ?

Stopped in for a quick bite for dinner we had cheese bread, salad and Italian beef for appetizer. We ordered sausage and pepperoni pizza for dinner . Salad was large for being a side salad it was basic no cucumber just cheese and croutons but it was good . Italian beef was average. Cheese bread was super cheesy . Pizza finally came out and it was really good . Tons of cheese sausage was on point . The sauce was a traditional Italian sauce overall pretty good

I ordered a pineapple and ham pizza and a taco pizza. When I got there they forgot to put the pineapple on my pizza, which is no big deal but the manager on duty Laura came out and asked if I was ok with just a bacon pizza and I said no I want what I ordered. Then Laura proceeds to tell me she will have to charge me extra to make a new pizza with pineapple. I said so I ordered the correct pizza and you guys messed it up and you want to charge me more because you guys made a mistake. So Laura went back to the kitchen and when she came back out She told me she will make me the right pizza without charging me and said I could also keep the mistake pizza with just bacon on it. So I told her I did not need the bacon pizza and that she can give it to the workers and Laura said to me that the workers have to pay for their food unless they work hard enough that day. I think that she was super unprofessional with saying that about the workers. They messed a pizza up and offered me to keep it but I wanted to give it to the workers and she told me I couldn’t because they didn’t pay for it. So if I’m getting this straight if I would not have said that and denied the pizza they would have just thrown perfectly good food away ?? All around she was very rude and that didn’t sit Wel with me so when I got all of the pizza I ordered I gave the girls up front my taco pizza which was paid for in full sort of as a screw you to what Laura said. I hope she let them keep it since it was PAID FOR .

Visiting Michigan City we had to try some local pizza restaurants. We placed our pretty large order (2 cheese pizzas, 1 pepperoni pizza, and some spaghetti) was told it would ready in 40 minutes. We arrived at that time. Had to wait an additional 10 minutes. This location is really a pretty cool place. Definitely has a unique feel to it. The food was okay to me. Pizza runs through an oven, not woodfired. Dough was decent and had crisp. Red sauce had decent tomato flavor. Cheese was a bit greasy. They cut theirs into long strips similar to many pizza places breadsticks. All in all it was a decent carry out experience. Staff was friendly.Staff 4 starsFood 3 starsEnvironment 4 stars

I can't even give 1 star. Went last night to enjoy some good old Albano's only to be very disappointed. There was one car in the parking lot and an employee out back smoking. No one to greet you, let alone one man in the entire restaurant which was trying to get the staffs attention but was being completely ignored. We sat and watched this go on for 10 minutes and still never was greeted by anyone nor was he ever acknowledged. What a shame for this land mark to be driven into the ground. On a good note we drove all the way to Laporte Albanos and had great service along with great pizza. So sad....

I really enjoy Albano's pizza. I've been going there since I was a child. I carried out this time, but they were good. Fast, courteous and friendly. Smiled and pleasant.
