First I call to place an order for pick up, I'm told I have to order on line, so now I have to pay extra to order through door dash, because you can't order directly with Stake and Shake.I go to Meijer first to grab dog food which went up $3 within a week, while I'm there another customer had a seizure, I tried to be as helpful to him and his wife until the ambulance came I go to Shake and later than I expected and shook up from my experience at Meijer. Everything has changed no one up front to great you. So I see a sign that says pick up, I go to the counter and wait employees and I believe two managers saw me standing there no one says hi, welcome we will be with you or anything. Another manager comes and says can I help you? I replied I'm here for my pick up. He rudely replies you didn't check the bags over here shakes the bag and walks away. If this is the future of restaurants I guess I will be saving a lot of money
Disappointed! My husband just left from there with two large sprites that tasted like seltzer water! When I called the gentleman who answered the phone he stated that we we would need to come back today tomorrow or Tuesday when he is there and have our receipt with us because we are only coming back for a drink. The issue that I am having is that you minimized my issue. The fact that we have to come back at all is a huge inconvenience so for you to put a timeframe on when I have to come back and for you to acknowledge that you know that the machine was down because you had other complaints and say I still have to provide a receipt is ridiculous. He also had a bad attitude and was talking to me like I couldn't comprehend what he was saying.They don't have to worry about our family returning. However the girl at the window was very nice.
Cheap food that taste better than fast food places. This location is getting 3 stars because of the service. They put almost 50 dollars of food in 1 bag and smashed most of the food. Forgot spoons and forks. But still a better option than McDonald's.
HORRIBLE!!! No different from any other Steak n Shake. Last time I'm visiting this chain. Cold fries and no more triple burger. No wonder this chain is going under! Let's help this chain go to bed.... Quit patronizing!! ?
Raw burger and uncooked bacon. Manager wanted me to drive 30 miles back to make the situation right. I find that completely obsurd. With no real solution except to drive 30 miles to have them re-cook the food, im reaching out to corporate.
The changes made to the ordering system are great. Self serve kiosks make ordering very quick and convenient. My order was ready within minutes of entering it and was fantastic. The staff however were even more impressive. The cook on 1-24 was top notch. He was multitasking and owning the whole place. He deserves a raise probably. The management and ownership should be proud. A+
Went through the drive thru today with my kids. Have to give a HUGE shoutout to Deshauna at the speaker / window. She was the best example of fine customer service that I have ever encountered. She was kind, patient, and had excellent communication skills. It takes a special heart to remain that positive and pleasant in any service industry branch, but especially in a drive thru window. I hope she gets the promotion and recognition she deserves. Keep smiling love. Its inspiring.
I ordered a sandwich which upon receiving it I was very upset to see the dlop that was given to me. When I called they informed me thet no manager was in at the time but 1 minute later a young man got on the phone and said he was a manager and was the one who prepared my sandwich. When I explained what was wrong he said I could go back for a new one. I explained to him I was on lunch and the roads were bad he replied " then there is nothing I can do for you" Never going back PERIOD
So I ordered doordash around midnight and it said it would take an hour and of course I didn’t mind because I know it was late. Anyways more than hour passes and my food gets here. I got my burger which I did get, and I ordered chicken tenders for my bf which I didn’t get and I got 2 fries with 4 cheese sauces and I only got 1. I don’t get how they messed up an order that small and it took them an whole hour just for them to give me a cold burger and fries? I work for fast food and doing doordash isn’t hard all you have to do is to get ALL the items in the bag. I felt like it was on purpose but I would like a whole refund on my order. I’m not ordering here again.
Things have changed at Steak and Shake. Gone are the servers and counter service.Now, you order at a kiosk and pick up when your number is called. Drinks are self-serve and gone are the real utensils and dishes.The food is still Steak and Shake, but it's not the same. I guess this is the sign of the times
