First time here and was not disappointed!! I got a full slab of ribs, fries, and the mixed sauce and everything tasted amazing. The ribs actually had meat on them and weren’t just bones like some of the other places around here. The service was also great…very nice. I’d definitely come here again. Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.

My boyfriend and I just enjoyed their food for the first time today and I would 100% recommend! I got the half slab of baby back ribs and my boyfriend got the rib tips. We both got incredible portions for the price we paid. We also got fries, slaw and a side of mac and cheese to go with our bbq; and it all was phenomenal! Everyone who helped us today was beyond friendly and their customer service was amazing☺️ if you're in the area looking to support a local business; definitely make a stop here! You won't regret it!

Everything we've had here so far has been fantastic. Smoked chicken that falls off the bone, hot links that have so much flavor you don't need any sauce, and brisket that is smoked to perfection. We can't wait to try the ribs next! The owner and his wife are so nice, and really go out of there way to make sure their customers are taken care of. This is our new favorite place for BBQ in NWI.

Ribs and hot links were very tasty, tender, and delicious along with the sauce. Potato salad was the bomb.com. Wasn’t a big fan of the baked beans and the customer service was wonderful. I will definitely patronize this business again

I ordered a pan of rib tips and explained to the owner that I read previous reviews and seen mixed reviews about the food at his establishment. When I received my pan of rib tips they were great!! Plenty of meat and very tender. It is absolutely true that no sauce is needed. I had my sauce put on the side. The sauce was good also. I am very particular about my food and this was a good experience. Thank you for the great service.

Coming from a southern style BBQ enthusiast this place is a hidden Gem in the heart of the Region. Just recently tried the Rib Tips with the Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Baked Beans. Everything was most excellent and had a very authentic flavor. This is a place that deserves all the credit.

Best brisket in town, period! My girlfriend wanted burnt ends and the owner hooked us up with two gallon sized bags of burnt ends along with rib tips and even added more brisket for only $20!The sides were absolutely amazing. I made the mistake of ordering the small portions. The cheese n Mac was dynamite and the baked beans were the best I've had to date. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.Price was just right and less than I expected to pay. I will definitely return and thank you for the awesome dinner!

We went in and ordered the large rib tips, brisket sandwich, polish, large Macaroni & Cheese, and a large baked beans.Yes, you can eat the tips without sauce. Coleslaw had a hint of vinegar and wasn't dry, I'm thinking it will be a great palate cleanser for some fatty pieces of bbq. Fries were almost a seasoned type, which gave it a nice crunch. Beans had meat in them, hamburger I think, and were sweet. They were a little over cooked to where they were very soft, but that didn't detract from the flavor. The polish was flavored very nicely with the grilled onions on top. The brisket was just okay. The meat was smokey, and you could taste some seasoning, but as another reviewer stated, it's definitely better with the sauce. The bbq sauce was good, it's got some celery seed in it so it's got small bumps of flavor that explode as you crunch into them. They have a hot and a mild bbq sauce, the mild still has a small amount of heat to it, so people who think white bread is pushing the spicey limit may want to steer clear. Service was steller. Last but not least, the Macaroni & Cheese. Honestly, my inner beast came out after taking a single bite and I had to go in and buy three more large containers to go. Yeah, say what you will, but I don't care, it was good.Go visit this place! The owners, a husband and wife team, both work there and are engaged and interested in the business. I hope you go and see the same charming, friendly people that I met and are able to enjoy the same or better great food that I had. Be blessed.

Me and my fiance decided to try a new barbecue spot and this was A1!!!! It's black owned let me start there! The customer service was awesome. I called our order in and the woman was so pleasant on the phone. When my fiance picked the food up, he said that the service was really nice. Now let's get to this food...the sauce...bomb! I had turkey tips. They were tender! My fiance had catfish. He said it was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be eating them again!

It took me awhile, but I'm here to give my review from last week. The ribs my husband and I ordered were very good! I don't eat everybody's potato salad, but this potato salad was delicious! The Awesome woman I talked to was just so nice and very professional and the owner I believe my husband said next time we come in he wanted us to try their bbq chicken, we will sir?? Thank you! if all works out, set up shop in Portage!?
