Service was amazing always love coming here. I got something out of the norm and it was a thia pie. Basically an teriyaki pizza and definitely enjoyed it!
GREAT food!! Service was awesome as well. I do have 2 complaints, and they are in regards to cleanliness. The parking lot has trash EVERYWHERE. To the point I almost didn't want to go inside. Inside was much better, however, our table was sticky. The hostess walked us to the table and then had to have us wait while she wiped it down because it hadn't been cleaned from the previous customers. She then had to find towels to dry the table off. I had no problems waiting and was very thankful that she took care of it! But...the table ended up being sticky and gross.I don't want to take away any stars for these issues though, as the food was absolutely wonderful. I had a personal pizza and my son had spaghetti and meatballs. I would highly recommend the food here!
We were very pleased with our first visit to Old Chicago in Merrillville. Our food was delicious. We had the Buffalo chicken roll up for an appetizer and the Chicago 7 Pizza with hand tossed crust. They were both amazing. Our service was great and everyone there was so nice. We are definitely going back and telling others to be sure to go.
Always have the nicest most attentive waiters. Awesome management. Everytime we've been there the manager has always came and checked on us and one time our appetizer was running a little behind and the manager came on his own accord to say they got backed up but it was almost ready and they were gonna comp it. Never a bad experience here. 10/10 recommend!!!
I am beyond words. Where do I start? The service was horrible, HORRIBLE! We had a group of 13 that we had given them a heads up about and they had no tables together. We had to make our own. We placed our order and after the food coming out, at all separate times 6 peoples' were wrong. They forgot side salads, toppings, gave us the wrong sauce, etc. I mean they even messed up a margarita, like how do you mess that up? Overall just wrong. After we sent it back we now have to wait even longer for our food while the rest of our party eats. After the food coming out a second time, we still had at least 3 of them wrong. Then the manager Kevin comes to the table and tells us "I cannot help it if they can't read the menu correctly". The Oh My Spaghetti pie comes with alfredo sauce. Everyone who ordered this dish got marinara sauce instead of alfredo and Kevin argued with us that we couldn't read the menu. After I confronted the manager Kevin, he never apologized or compensated us in any way. He was beyond rude and arrogant. It is now 7:30, we have been here since 4:45, and we still have people with no food. By the time they finally got their food they had to take it to go because everybody else was done. Overall just very, VERY terrible service. We will not be back.
New Cook? New owner? Great older staff.. Been coming here for years but today was the absolute BEST food ever! Wings crispy outside, moist & tender inside. Pretzel sticks were perfect. Pizza made to vert specific instructions and so yummy. Manager/owner even stopped by our table to chat about service. Wow! Best pub food in the region now!!!
It's always a great visit to Old Chicago! Friendly service and fantastic food. But tonight's visit was absolutely amazing, our waiter, Orman, 5 stars man! You made our night! Hope to see you again!
Very short wait. Jessie was friendly and provided great service. Pizza was okay, maybe I'll do pan next time.
Ordered heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day. So very disappointed. The pepperoni was $22 and sooo small. Barely resembles a heart and it’s so very thin.
We had the best experience at this place last night!! Very delicious, very fresh, waiter was outstandingly generous, and everything was made to perfection!! I don’t know if it was because we went a little late but I will definitely be going here again!! Keep up the great work and customer service and this restaurant will go bigger than what it is now!!
