The food here was very good. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The prices on the menu seemed very reasonable. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and likely I would stop back in if I’m in the area.
This is a delicious local Mexican restaurant that gets everything right! We didn’t get their birria tacos this time, but those are to die for! Tacos were good! The only thing I didn’t care for was the ground beef used in the taco, other than that- everything was delicious!
I have heard so much about Birria tacos and wanted to try them. Decided on El Poblano, the reviews were amazing and the pictures looked even better. The price for Birria tacos is rather expensive but I must say it is so worth it! For the price you get 4 loaded tacos and the dipping sauce. They are good each and every time I have had them and trust me I have had them quite a bit. Excellent service as well, they are very nice here.
BEST Birrias around. I tried El Poblanos' Birria tacos and then Santo tacos' (In Valpo) birria tacos the next day to see if I could get the same experience 'cause I live kinda far from El Poblano's, and LET.ME.TELL.YOU.....El poblano's birria tacos blew the competition out of the water. The shells were stiffer and the consome was wayyyyy tastier. Santo tacos consome tasted overwhelmingly of beef and nothing else and the shells were so soggy it all fell apart the second I picked it up, but El poblanos, boy....whew! I crave it. It's solid, the second you lift that beautiful, cheesy, meat packed slice of heaven. Oh lawd I'm drooling again..I wants it ??? Why I gotta live so far? ???
Service was quick and efficient. Steak mexicana was good, beans and rice were good also. Wife had birria tacos and it was good also. Little greasy but oh so tasty
This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area! The carne asada dinner is great! Everything is always fresh! The customer service is great as well! I have dined in, as well as ordered to-go several times.
I am not from the area. So we took a chance and everyone loved there food. My Carne Asada was awesome! Fresh and tasty great service. You can not go wrong here, unless your weird and do not like Mexican food.
Very friendly staff and the food is awesome. The portions are very generous. Only downside is that they are a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Walked in around 5:15 dirty tables everywhere, no one to seat us we had to ask. Took over 30 minutes for food which was nothing to rave about Husband got a burrito dinner, no sauce of any kind on burrito, it was very dry with lettuce and sour cream inside it which was not pleasing at all Sophia’s were fried to death very hard and greasy Not soft or fluffy at all Waited for at least ten minutes for bill, then went up to register only to stand and wait again I would not recommend this place at alll
