Sitting inside eating, and the employee sweeping up the floor decided to use the same broom to sweep off the tables, we said something to the manager and she replied that it was okay, and that they wipe it down after. Doesn't a broom belong on the floor?? If your going to wipe it down, why use a nasty broom?? Will never eat here again and advise everyone else not to either.!!! Very nasty and unprofessional. Wish I could give less than one star...
ATTENTION everyone: My review keeps getting removed off their reviews (which should be illegal) but guess they don't want people to know. DO NOT eat at Long John Slivers in Marion, IN. We use to go in there at least couple times a month, but NEVER again. They are totally unsanitary. My family & I was in there 4-16-2022 at 5:18pm, we dine-in & for the last time, never eating anything from there again. Well for 1. the drink & sauce station, even in the sauce cup bin was empty & was nasty dirty. 2. Then at 5:50pm the cashier was sweaping the floor & as I was eating, he then sweap off a table with the broom, yes the broom, then continued to sweap the floor. I ask him if he just did that, he stated yes I do it all the time, because I'm going to wipe it down with a sanitizer rag. I replied was, let me go tell your manager say about that? He then walk over to the counter & hollered at his manager telling her that he was sweaping the tables with the broom, she said your not to do that, he said well I'm going to wipe them with a sanitizer rag, she said oh well then it's OK. I said wait what how is that even right or make any sense, my husband got up & asked for the manager she stated she was the manager. He confronted her & said that is not how it is done, you don't do that. she then said why not they wipe it down with the sanitizer rags. We both stated no that is straight up nasty & unacceptable, & told them you've done loss our business forever, & we are going to let everyone know. We got our stuff, left our whole meal & head for the door, as we was walking out, I heard someone state oh well we'll still be here. Really this place needs people that care about others health & well-being before they make someone really sick & possibly kill someone.
Great friendly staff. Great manager as well (Stephanie I think?) Food was on point. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because every table was filthy. But they were working hard in every other facet of the job.
Lowest weighted on me very sweet lady the food was fast hot and exactly what I ordered it's the only place that I will buy fish the employees they really work hard but I didn't hear anyone complaining and that's always good
Horrible and greasy..got my order wrong..music was so loud we couldn't talk or hear each other..also freezing in there..won't be going back..also some staff could wash up or wash uniforms before they go to work
Not one of my favorite places to eat. High priced and the restaurant was cold. Ordered pork tenderloin sandwich and it didn't have any flavor. Cheese curds were good.
The A and W was great food was hot and fresh. Orders were accurate staff were friendly. Food was good. Price waa great. Overall a 4 star.
You have to watch what you order. I have great experiences with the long John's part but do not with the a&w part. Love the floats and desserts but the food isn't the best. Especially hot dogs
Staff is always friendly, but it's hit or miss whether the food will be great or subpar. More times than not, my meal isn't spectacular. Sometimes dry fish, most of the time hard and dry hush puppies.
Not the best food. But Great staff. The only place open. 2 thumbs up for that. Will go back
