I had to edit my rating - it used to be five stars. I love South Street's food, but now they are always closed by the time I get off work. It's so disappointing - we ate there all the time. They have the BEST smoked chicken quarters, I really miss them.
Went on a Saturday at noon and the service was great. Food came out quick and got a table no problem. St. Louis Ribs were delicious and the bbq sauces were great that I had (Sweet & Tangy and Spicy). Overall, a great experience and would be happy to come back again when I'm in the area on a trip.

I'm really sad. I loved this place but haven't been for 2 years. A friend at work told me it wasn't what it used to be and that they use liquid smoke instead of actually smoking the meat. I didn't want to believe it but after tonight I think my friend is right. Unfortunately the quality has went down but all the prices went up. I hope D&R opens back up soon :(
We were not impressed. Arrived at 6pm with 4 ppl on staff standing around talking. Only 2 guest in the place and the place needed cleaned up. Napkins on the floor and dirty tables. The Mac and cheese taste like Gordon’s and the slaw also with pepper added. For the 26.00 dollars we spent I did not expect the meat to be dry even with sauce added. I only ate 1/4 of my meal and threw the rest out and when to the hotel vending machine. I would not recommend this place.
I like the corn bread. But i want to try the catfish next time that they didnt have when i ordered
Random location, surprisingly great bbq. A hidden gem for sure. Great bbq eats.
Good food. The fried pickles were delicious.
1st time eating here, and what a wonderful place to get the best smoked eats in town. (Much better than that "seasonal" truck that sometimes sits behind the mall!) Prices aren't bad, either. It's not fancy, but is oh so good! We had the rib tips and chicken dinner. I highly recommend the baked beans as one of your sides. Definitely be going back for more!
