Last one of the franchise still in existence great place to eat if you want to dine someplace where the food is always excellent especially the crab-stuffed mushrooms prime rib grilled salmon this is the place for you . We met the owner he's very caring and considerate person wait staff was amazing I can almost guarantee you a great experience. Lots of parking easy access temperature was just right
Lovely restaurant straight opposite the hotel we stayed in on route to Chicago. Would highly recommend. Michael our waiter was friendly, professional and helpful. Food , both had steak , was beautifully cooked and presented. As Brits we don't have Aircon, so we asked if we could be moved, it was no problem at all even though the restaurant was very busy.
We sent our son who is attending Purdue here for Easter Sunday lunch. He wasn't able to come home for the weekend and it was his first holiday away from home. He had the nicest experience! The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and he said the food was wonderful. Thanks to Mountain Jack's for giving a homesick kid a little bit of a holiday experience.
Stopped on way back to Chicago to see my niece and we had dinner here. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the beef tip stroganoff was perfect. The desert was different but delicious. Our waiter was great and very attentive.
wife ordered medium prime rib but came out well done. sent it back and still came out medium well. sent that one back and then the kitchen manager came out with a rare prime rib. she decided to be little and talk down to my wife. the kitchen manager told my wife if she wants pink she has to order rare. she wanted my wife to eat the prime rib to make sure its wants she wanted and to eat it in front of her.
We found mountain jacks on trip advisor during a visit to Purdue university - and we are SO glad we did. The food was awesome, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was great. We’d highly recommend the Walleye, which I admit is strange to recommend for a steak house but it was one of the best white fish dishes I’ve had. Enjoy!
The large number of people waiting and the equally large number of empty tables was the first clue that they have problems here. We waited a very long time for a table. Our meal came out in spurts. Obviously the problem was in the kitchen not with our server. Our bread and salad were served promptly. Then we got our steaks (very nicely done) and cold garlic mashed potatoes, no veggie. Then our veggie finally came out but not our replacement potatoes. We finally got them but by then we didn’t want them any more. Other customers were complaining. The manager wasn’t doing anything to make people happy. Too bad.
