We went to the Lafayette Brewing Company today for lunch for the first time. I can say we will never go back. Both the service and food were a disappointment. The hostess asked me a question upon arrival. When I responded, she just seemed to stare off into space blankly. She then took us to our table and just lingered awkwardly over us without saying anything. The waiter was inattentive during our meal. When he did finally come over to ask if we needed anything, I told him we just needed the check. My husband was still eating and had 3/4 of a beer left. The waiter told us "$49" and literally just stood there as we dug for cash in our wallets. It was weird. I felt very uncomfortable. So, we paid although we were still not done eating. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was rubbery and oily and tasted off. My husband ordered the beef tips. They were obviously microwaved because some were scorching hot and some were cold. They were also dried out. My son ordered the pizza. He only took a bite and said it tasted weird. He wouldn't eat it.

Was in town for business and had dinner with a coworker. Service was good, beer was good, food was average. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was very greasy on the bottom where it wasn't properly rested before being plated. Maybe just an off night? because another coworker that lives in the area suggested we go here. Not in a hurry to give it another try but I guess I would.

Went for the micro-brews. There wasn't anything spectacular but the food was decent. They had a shredded bbq chicken sandwich open faced on a very interesting poblano pancake. It would have be great without the bbq sauce and a little Mexican seasoning. The Mac and Cheese is for the kiddies, a hard pass. Think Kraft box with thicker noodles.

Very nice place... Great beers and tasty burgers!

Love the LBC cheesesteak. It's not from Philly, but I think it's better! Enjoyed the Woodfire smoked stout and Tank Scrap double IPA. Wish they still had the cheesy potato bites.

Food was just okay. Service was truly horrible - maybe the worst I’ve ever had. Waiter was rude & literally did not check on us once - just handed off the food and left. We started eating with empty drinks that were never refilled. Would not go back. Ended our day in Lafayette on a low point.

Never have I ever received a more unwelcoming service. Not only did the wait staff make us feel like we were a burden to show up at 8:30 (they close at 11) but we were told the rest of our party could not order because the kitchen wanted to go home at 9:17 pm. I am absolutely disgusted by the hospitality in this establishment and will not be returning.

We stopped in for dinner tonight, prior to the Lafayette/West Lafayette Parade, and the staff, food, and drinks were amazing. Our sever Alexis, and our greeter, who helped through the entire meal, were very friendly and prompt. It had been a while since we had been in, but will definitely be back again soon! Thanks for the great food and service!

I'd like to give them 4.5 stars but unfortunately no half ratings here, so 4 it is.1) Price point is fair for quality food and drink2) Clean establishment3) VERY attentive, kind and helpful waitress Lena4) Good beer5) Ranchero Chicken Wrap was delicious. The only thing holding back a FULL 5 STAR rating.....Kind of gloomy decor and setting. Plus the beer list could stand a little more selection or variety. All in all it's a good spot.

Was very pleasantly surprised. Beer was great. Scotch eggs were an absolute treat and rib tips were to die for. An outstanding meal. Looking forward to going back. Thanks for a great experience.
