I have lived in Lafayette for 15 years at this point, and I've always liked this local chain.While I will not vouch for the authenticity of this Mexican food, I will vouch for how good it tastes. I especially like the chorizo and stuffed poblanos. My wife raves about the chili rellenos, which I like but don't go crazy for.They only lose a star because they charge you for additional chips and salsa, which I get, but I like them so much I wish they were free.

Salsa was excellent. Waitress was attentive. My entree was good but not tremendous.
Great food, great service and friendly staff. I really liked the place and enjoyed the food! They were able to arrange tables for 25 people at a 2 day notice and I am thankful about it.
Today my family found ourselves desiring Mexican food. It has been quite some time from our last visit to El Rodeo. Our mid afternoon meal set us back a $85 before the tip which then took us closer to $110 after!I couldn’t believe that 4 meals took that kind of chunk out of my wallet. The food was average to below average and the service was about the same. We didn’t order drinks. I couldn’t believe the menu prices. Everything seemed $3 over what they should be, but maybe that is the “new normal”. I don’t mind paying for good food and service; today I HAD to pay for below average!
Always great food. I recommend shrimp tacos! This is our favorite place to eat.
Good, but kind of expensive for what it was. A nice enough experience, but there are other places in town with better food for less money.

Good old El Rodeo! They never let you down. Order anything on the menu and you'll be delighted. Drinks will have you calling Uber. Staff are so friendly. Favorite place in town!
Good food! Ask for spicy sauce, if you are into spicy things. Flan was amazing!
