We ordered our ice cream and they took their sweet time getting it to us. They had no organization on how to get a complete order out at the same time. People that ordered after us got their food before us people were waiting more than 10 minutes for their ice cream treats in the blazing hot temps. Once we got everything it was already melting but it was good. I just wish there was a little more organization in the kitchen.
They used to get my business all the time when I could call in, pre-pay and then pick up, but now they’re not excepting phone-in orders, so they lost my business!!Bye bye….there are too many other places to go take my business!
Got there tonight at 7:30 and a staff member immediately comes out and tells us we are the last customers to get served tonight because they close at 8:00. There were about 15 people(3 to 4 groups of people together) in front of us. Who does this? Was this dude wanting us to tell anyone who got in line behind us that we were the last to get served tonight??? Last time I checked, either myself, wife, or kids are on Budge's payroll. That employee was very rude. This was our 1st time there. Good thing the ice cream was great.

I have to say this year at budgies here in Lafayette Indiana has severely gone downhill they just need to give it up me and my girlfriend ordered two double cheeseburgers two chili cheese fries and two large Cokes and it was a total of $30 I could have gone to a sit-down restaurant and paid the same amount for way better quality of food our food was god-awful the bun was full Grease the fries were so greasy you couldn't even taste the cheese or the only thing good about the meal was the coke we got I gave basically my fries away to a homeless man and I gave the Burger to my dog I highly suggest you do not go here if you plan on thinking that you're going to get good food cuz you're not I really wish I could go down there and get my money back I'm never ever returning to budgies
One of my favorite places to go by Purdue! Their ice cream has large potions and a good amount of toppings. The parfaits are especially good. Their food is good and always fresh. Staff is always friendly too.
SUCH a cute place and really amazing fries. This is the hole-in-the-wall place you're looking for!!! Much better value than any chain restaurant
Always loves this place. Wished it was opened all year round. But, always a great a delicious experience!
I love Budgie Burgers and the fries are amazing.....the problem is three out of four times they don't make my burger right! I live in West Lafayette and normally eat when I get home and it's too far to drive back and everyone else would have already eaten by then! So I settle for Culver's which is nowhere as good as Budgies!
Frankly, this place looks sketchy, but the ice creams good, and cheap, as well as all the staff I've interacted with has been pretty cool. I've yet to try any of their food, but ya, check them out.
