One thing about this old chain, you know what to expect and get the food that you grew up loving. Glad to see it here since they seem to be disappearing else where. I got my favorites, crab cakes, fried shrimp, and hush puppies. I got extra of those to take home for later. Service friendly and fast. Love their humor of having a Pepsi machine on top of an old coke machine.
Hotdogs are delicious! The root beer is good, but I think B&K's is better. Friendly staff.
Usually dont have an issue with this location except from the last couple few weeks.. I wont get into the first issue due to it being a long story.. But my second issue??? Online says this location closes at 10pm but show up at exactly at 9pm and sit at the drive thru for about 10 minutes just to try and park and walk in and the hours on door state 9pm closing time.. With technology booming in our day and age maybe should change online closing time??? Especially with so many people using google to look places up either it being times of operations or reviews ect. ect.? Highly recomend the owner doing some changes. Ill keep an eye on these "changes" and give a higher rating if they can be corrected.. If it wasnt for these minor inconveniences i wouldve keep 5 stars all the way acrossed cause of how much i love this location and seems the food is akways good and fresh everytime.. I asked how much their coney dogs were and this girl ask me how many and I said 4. So then I order 4 coney dogs, not combo meals, and a fish dinner. The girl says that will be $29 and some change. When I asked if that was the price for the coney dog combo meal the girl said no that's how much they cost. Trust me when I say we will NEVER make that mistake again and probably won't be going to their business for anything else either.
Food was good. Not very greasy. Service was quick and people were nice. I went at lunch. Not super healthy, but I do like eating here.
The service I received this evening was absolutely the worst. First of all the young man who took my order acted as if he had better things to do, which I'm sure he did, but when workung with the public always greet and smile. My fish was not hot and the fries, were old and cold. LJS has always been my favorite but think I'll be finding another favorite
Let me say this first. I was always so against fish tacos. Always sounded nasty to me. Tried them for the first time here. Wow!! I was surprised with how delicious and well balanced they were. Truly highly recommend them. Of course, always like their fried fish too.
My family stopped in for dinner last night around 7:00. The restaurant was clean. the service was great and the food was delicious. Very nice employees. One of the best locations we've visited. Will definitely be back.

I ordered a rice bowl. There’s zero rice. Shrimp and slaw. And you won’t answer the phone. I’ve called SEVERAL times & left a VM
