Slow service, expensive, the fish needs seasoning, and I think they changed their fries. The fried green tomatoes were awesome!!
Friendly service! Usually pretty quick. Food is always fresh. I like that they have specials for each day of the week. I love the fried pickles! A small order is $4.20 w/ tax and you get a lot! Good ranch to dip in. Good sweet tea, too! I think its a tad bit on the expensive side for what you get, but its good to visit every once in a while. However, their hush puppies are terrible, in my opinion. They're huge, but very dry and overcooked. Needs some onion inside or something, to break up the corn meal. I would like to see them use a better tarter sauce. They use the mass-produced packets and its just not good. I think they could rock out their own recipe, and it would take their food to a whole new level.
Their dining area is open now! It had been closed during COVID. The food was great as always. Love their fish and onion rings. Fish box for two is our usual!!
Food is always amazing. We go there any time we have a craving for fish. As is everything, the price has gone up, but the food remains second to none.
The shrimp basket and fish was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was extraordinary! Nice young man at the register was so respectful and always answered yes, Mam. The woman assisting with everyone (may have been management) was so sweet to us and the staff!
I live in Louisville, I called and placed an order to be picked up. A young gentleman took my order, very polite. I told him on the phone that I was coming from Louisville and would be 30 or 40 minutes before I arrived to pick up the order. I drove all the way across the bridge and when I got there the doors were locked and they were closed. I told the employee through the glass why I was there and he said oh yeah hold on. He disappeared and returned saying they were closed and then just ignored me. Thanx for wasting my time, energy, and gas. And my family didn't get to eat dinner until a while later. Why take an order if you know you're closing? Not impressed with this at all and neither was my family.
I try not to eat fried food, but that COD is simply irresistible. It was hot, n fresh. I been waitin to get it here at this particular location.It was worth the wait, and the drive!
We arrived 1 hour before closing and ordered a Box for 2, a order of coleslaw, and drinks. Young gentlemen running the ship that night was nice, courteous, and professional. Something you do not see much of, if at all anymore. Although they told us our ticket number, they brought our drinks and food to us at our table. Fish was good and piping hot, fries and hush puppies good as well. Coleslaw was spot on, but pricey for the quantity. We'll return! Only issue we had was it was a bit cold inside given the outside temp wasn't that hot at 7pm.
