Yolk- IronsWorks have fancy breakfast names and mediocre taste. I was super excited to try the breakfast after knowing it's one of the best breakfast places in Chicago and Indianapolis, but I am disappointed with the taste and flavor of the dishes.1) Café Mocha water downed and tastes more like chocolate milk2) Under seasoned potatoes3) Egg cheesy pesto sandwich is a joke. It's less cheesy, a tiny spread of pesto sauce, and hard to chew Bagel. Fast-food restaurants make better Egg sandwiches than YOLK!!4)Hair all over the place.2 stars are for the "Lemon Blueberry Pancakes" and they tasted way better than other items we ordered.Place is totally hyped and I wont go next time.

This was my first time coming, very quick service. The food was nice and hot, will return.

Slow service: over-staffed, under-utilization of staff. Over half of the staff just stood around doing nothing. Management should really get on top of this ?. You're welcome, management.

Worst breakfast ever!

Had a lovely breakfast! Our server was very attentive even though it was quite busy! We have been to other Yolk locations and we’ve always been pleased! While the selections on the breakfast menu are plentiful I decided to get the classic eggs Benedict. It was perfect; not over sauced, eggs just right! Delicious! I started my meal with a refreshing glass of beet orange juice! Highly recommend!

We ordered the blueberry muffin latte. It was a good latte but there was absolutely no blueberry taste to it at all. I would not recommend ordering the speciality latte and just stick to a regular latte. For our breakfast I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict. On the menu it says English muffin, candian ham, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. The eggs were hard boiled. There was not any softness to the eggs at all. Once I was able to finally flag down our server I stated my eggs were not poached. He asked if I wanted them replaced. I replied yes understandably mistake happen. I was not upset. Just disappointed. The man actually brought to our table two poached eggs in a bowl. No English muffin, no candian ham, no hollidase sauce. Just two poached eggs stacked on top of one another in a small white bowl. Apparently he excepted me to use the cold English muffins and ham put my eggs on top and scrap off the old cold hollandaise sauce and prepare my own eggs Benedict at the table. Meanwhile he was still going to charge me SIXTEEN dollars to do this. The others at the table were finished eating by this time. They took the eggs Benedict off of my bill but that is it. We drove an hour to try YOLK. What a complete waste of time. I would not recommend this restaurant. They were not full there was no reason for it to take as long as it did. The service was poor, the food ... Well I NEVER got to eat anything other than my latte which was lacking. Save your time and money and go anywhere other than YOLK!!!

Definitely will not be back. I found a long strand of hair wrapped around my food. Store manager is lying I never said pink hair. I said the hair was wrapped around the bacon. This shows how much you were listening. Good try tho, I have braids in my hair, and that strand of hair was long straight and black. Do better management.

It's our must stop breakfast place when in Indy or Chicago. Service is quick, so don't let the typical line frighten you off - it's worth the wait. Smooth coffee and interesting breakfast flavors. Ask what the pancake of the month is and 8 year old daughter agrees Mac and cheese with over easy egg is best.

Okay so I work across from the Yolk at CityWay downtown and we are there often. I ordered something I've had several times downtown and LOVE, the Santa Fe Frittata. It tasted... meh.... like the eggs were overcooked, the jalapenos were not spicy, and it was just overall kind of blah. I didn't eat the whole thing. And I would never order it again if I hadn't tasted a better one before. SO. IronWorks folks, ask the CityWay chefs how to make eggs! Please! You have to up your game! nutella crepes and savory crepes were delicious and service was nice and attentive. The restaurant is clean and staff was good to spread people out throughout the restaurant so we were distanced nicely and felt safe with masks off to eat. My two year old loved watching the hustle and bustle in the kitchen. It was overall a nice brunch after finals for my high schooler and her friend but I am glad I work at the YMCA across from the other location of this restaurant.... because they make better eggs!

Always a delicious experience! Our meals were correct, timely, and the service was helpful and friendly. The cinnamon roll french toast is my favorite sweet treat.
