My family and I stopped in for some good Vietnamese comfort food during our vacation, and we were NOT disappointed. The food and the service was phenomenal! We ordered the pho (was there really another option?) and a buffet of appetizers, and everything was fantastic! Highly recommend to anyone local, or anyone who just so happens to be traveling through the area!
The well-done beef pho was absolutely amazing!!!! I would've been willing to try the rare beef. The building itself looks a bit questionable from the outside, but just keep walking throught that door! The staff was very very friendly and very helpfuI, the prices were good. I highly, strongly, definitely, 100%, totally and completely recommend this restaurant!

So good! This place had a very nice man serving us and would make sure every table was clean and was so polite. The food was so good as well, best vietnamese food I have had! This is my first review out of dozens that I have no pointers that would make the business better! This place does not look fancy on the outside but looks super nice on the inside as well as not being expensive for the amount of food you get! I will say that I did second guess if I should go in because of how empty it was (I did not go at a time it would have been busy). Hope to see you there soon because I'll be coming back!
Did a pickup order, we got thr rare beef pho and the chicken pho, and 2 orders of crab rangoons. The broth was delicious, flavorful, and all the ingredients were fresh and fragrant! They give you a generous serving and even though it was a pickup order the restaurant was clean, and stylish!
The outside looks a bit run down, a bit of a hole in the wall. The inside, you could see they had renovated. But, today, the outside temperature was in the 20-30's, and they had not turned their heat on in the restaurant. The manager came to us with his puffer coat on. It was so cold in the restaurant. He was quite rude. The menu was not clear, and when asked about the menu, he got defensive and said it's cheaper then dinner menu, when price wasn't even what I was even asking about. I wanted to understand what was in the food or came with the entree, and he acted as if I was asking for price and treated me as stupid. Final straw came when I saw 1 of 2 people that was using ladels, so I assume part of fixing the food, wipe his nose with the back of his bare hand and go back to using said ladel. At that point, we left. Egg Roll 1 in Beech Grove does a much better job.
The Pho was tasty, and the service was good, but the place was very cold!Please consider turning the heat on!
Absolutely the best pho in Indiana!! Ive been going for a few years and the customer service is amazing and always consistent! I highly recommend giving it a try, the vegetarian options are also yummy!!
I had a wonderful visit to What the Pho. The restaurant was clean, inviting and had very chill date-night or a-night-out-with-friends vibe. Budget friendly. Great customer service. Portions were generous and included allll the add-ins you could ever want. My favorites are the plum sauce and peanut sauce. So spice.
Excellent! Their pho is delicious! Everything I’ve had so far is fresh and flavorful. The place seems very clean and the staff is great. Highly recommend!
