Outstanding food and service!
What a great find in Broadripple. The food was delicious and very authentic and the service was friendly and with a smile! The portion size was perfect that you could have an appetizer and dessert and not go away stuffed or hungry. The Turkish tea was delightful.I would say the only draw back for some would be they don't serve alcohol.
We stopped in for dinner on a whim, and loved it! The woman working was so kind and took care of us, and everything tasted very fresh. We got the appetizer platter to try a sample of everything, and especially enjoyed the hummus and yogurt. My partner got the beef kebab and said it was flavorful, and I tried the dumpling special with yogurt and tomato sauce ?I will be back!
One of the best Turkish restaurants I have been to in the whole US. Definitely check it out if you are in the area.
I had been curious about this place for a while and decided that yesterday was the day. Compared to many of the other Broad Ripple restaurants yesterday, this one was noticeably empty. We ordered two of the lunch specials one gyro plate and one chicken kabob plate. The lunch specials come with an appetizer and a dessert. We got the Baba ghanoush and the lentil soup as our appetizers. The eggplant dip was good--just the right amount of smokiness but could use a bit more salt. The lentil soup was a bit of a disappointment; the flavors in the soup were a bit dull-almost watered down-compared to some of the other lentil soups that I had in the area. The meats for both dishes were great and perfectly seasoned. They come with a side of a basic side and white rice.Overall the lady serving us was warm and very helpful, but the food itself was pretty average.
The food was very good, and the service was excellent. The lady who runs the restaurant makes you feel welcomed and right at home.We really enjoyed the Turkish tea; it was subtle yet flavorful. We had the lentil soup for our appetizer; the house pita bread was so good dunked in it. We had the falafel plate and the chicken kebab. They came with a side of rice and a small salad. For dessert, we had rice pudding; I liked the cinnamon taste and that it wasn’t overly sweet. The food came out quickly, and by the end, the plates were empty and our bellies full. The only critique would be that it took a while to get the check at the end of the meal, but all in all, our meals were just what we needed in this cold weather, warm and comforting.
This is my favorite place to eat in Indy. On your first visit, the staff will walk you through the menu and happily make suggestions if you need assistance with the Turkish cuisine. The food is impeccable, and you have to order the Kunefe for dessert. It is incredible!
I ate their recently, surprised to discover their lunch menu was still in effect. I had marinated chicken with humus with their wonderful Turkish tea, and an older gentleman accompanying me ordered marinated chicken with a similar appetizer. I enjoyed my meal and hope to come back.
Absolutely Amazing and delicious food! We had the mixed kabob, chicken, beef and lamb, all grill grilled to perfection. We also tried the Kunefe dessert. It was devine decadence. The service was very prompt and friendly as well. We will definitely be back.
I love Turkish food so when I found a place basis reviews that Indiana had a nice Turkish place I jumped at the idea of a nice Halal dinner. Street parking only and the place was deserted on a Sunday night, couldn’t find any service attendants around. Finally found a lady (guess she was the owner) and we ordered Turkish red Lentil Soup, Babaganoush and Usta Mixed Kebab. The food tasted good, I will not say wow and the portions left us asking for more. We were famished, an Usta Mixed Kebab for $24 served on a single plate didn’t make the cut. Yet I give 4* for the service, otherwise I don’t think I will go back just cause of the price and food ratio.
