I have never been to a hibachi restaurant that won’t seat one person at the grill. It’s happened MULTIPLE times and comes off as discrimination. Especially when I call to ask if I can be seated and I’m told that they won’t open a grill but will seat me at a grill where people are already sat. I get there and then all of a sudden all five of the empty hibachi grills have been reserved ??The food is good but it’s a HUGE no for me. I’m a single person with no children. So, if you tend to eat meals alone and like to sit at the hibachi grill Tomo is NOT IT.

Dumpling soup and fantastic roll were good. The calamari hibachi dinner was disappointing. I have never been served calamari rings in a hibachi dinner before. They were rubbery and inedible. Calamari steak is a much better meal, and would have been much more worth the $20 I paid for the meal.

Wonderful owners. The service is always good, reasonable prices and good sushi. We have been eating here since the restaurant opened many many years ago.

I absolutely love this place. For one the lunch specials are great and the quality of food is also great! Customer service is always smiling.

The food is good, but the service is meh. Unlike most Japanese restaurants, hibachi has an added gratuity of 18% so the service is not great.

Having no idea how to properly eat.It can be blamed on... A lack of high quality food that is unreasonably priced, and the agony of having to choose from a menu full of delicious sounding dishes. 'As far as traditional Japanese steakhouses go, few can match Tomo's delicious grilled steak and precise menu, which also includes an extensive selection of fresh sushi and veggie meals.By eating at Tomo, you may learn the proper way to eat sushi. ?Tomo Hibachi & sushi bar is a great place for any occasion and make a good recommendationFood experience - GoodCommunication - GoodCustomers service- GoodEnvironment- cleanPet friendly - not certainPeople also ask:1. What are Japanese steakhouse chefs called?teppanyaki chefA teppanyaki chef is more than a cook who's mastered the teppanyaki style of cuisine. Being a successful teppanyaki chef requires equal parts performance and culinary mastership.2. How many seats are at a hibachi table? How many people can a hibachi table accommodate? The hibachi tables can accommodate a single diner at a shared table, up to 10 guests at one table, or up to 19 guests at 2 a joining tables that face each othe3. What it called when Japanese cook in front of you?Teppanyaki grills are found in many Japanese restaurants as long, flat grills around which guests are seated. The chefs grill the food that is ordered in front of the guests, wowing them with their culinary talents and excellent knife skills.4. What is a teppanyaki knife? The word “Teppanyaki' itself means “grilling on an iron plate.” From the word Teppanyaki, we can have “teppan” which means iron plate, and we also get “yaki” which means grilled. Thus, Teppanyaki is the art of cooking food while grilling them on an iron griddle5. What oil is used in teppanyaki?soybean oilAs for the teppanyaki Western-style, the ingredients commonly used are assorted vegetables, shrimp, lobster, beef and scallops, and soybean oil is used for cooking. Some also cook other staples that are preferred and available.

It took forever for the chef to come to the hibachi table, then we were rushed out. He was asked by someone to cut their shrimp smaller and he told her to cut it herself and stared her down. 18% gratuity automatically sometimes bring very poor service.

The service was great. The staff very nice and on top of things. Now the food on the other hand not the same story. I had the Fillet and scallops both tasted old and freezer burnt. Couldnt eat the scallops. Both over cooked. Rice had a weird flavor. Won't be back for the Hibachi. Now that being said have went so many times for the sushi and has always been the best in town.

Quick service and the food was okay. Great Ambience

Great spot for a great lunch special. Does not look like much from the outside - but the service is great and the food is great - especially for the price. I often go on weekdays as their 2 or 3 roll specials are great.
