My little girls and I love this place. We come about once a week. They love the chicken lo mein with no veggies and I am a big fan of the chicken green curry. I don’t like eating veggies unless they taste good and these veggies taste amazing! We always talked it off with one or two pieces of the tempura cheesecake. Can’t recommend enough. The daughters think the staff are our family. It’s pretty freaking cute.
I've been eating Tian Fu at least 2-3 times a week for the past two months and I have not been let down a single time. The authentic Chinese menu is fantastic, I can honestly say that I haven't had any better Chinese food in Indy.Everyone who dines in should try the golden eggplant, it is to die for!
New favorite chinese spot !! This place is the real deal. Food is up to par with what you would expect in country. Popular mainland dishes like twice cooked pork (回锅肉), garlic eggplant (鱼香茄子), and 3 cup chicken (三杯鸡) were all amazing. Great prices. Cannot recommend enough ~
The all you can eat sushi is only a value if you like VERY mediocre sushi. The best part of my meal was the edamame. Our server was a bit on the odd side and not very attentive. One person had Chinese food and was. Very happy with that choice. Take that advice there.
Best Chinese food in Indianapolis that I have found, a bit pricey. Only place I know of that does decent duck (Cantonese and Peking). Decor is great and seating is comfortable. Location could be better to reflect the quality of the restaurant (although that would probably increase the price more than I would be willing to pay)
Late lunch there provided a quiet (except for American children's songs being sung in Chinese played through the sound system) experience. Did you know that Chicken Cashew and Chicken Katsu sound very much the same? We still had an enjoyable lunch and since it is close, will come back again.
Had a lot of food. The soup dumplings were the best thing I had. Really expected more from the tempura udon. Our waiter was also really terrible. He wanted to argue how much we could eat and discourage us from ordering more because he said food would take awhile to come out. "It's Christmas..." Duh, we never said we weren't willing to be patient. The food didn't take much time at all though. We had hardly any wait for anything. The waiter had an opinion about everything and even the guy with his son at the table next to us told his son he would be cutting the guy's tip based on his attitude. At the end, it felt like he realized we were about done and tried to backtrack and be nice and kept talking to us and all we wanted was for him to leave us alone. We decided to go somewhere else for dinner instead of ordering more to take away and have for dinner later.
Shui zhu yu (Sichuan boiled fish) is a specialty of theirs and a favorite of mine, but the gan guo yu (dry pot fish) stole the show. Don't sleep on the vegetables, either - these are the best Chinese-style green beans I've had in y e a r s and they were extremely gracious in accomodating the request to do it without pork.
Higher quality than you're expecting. If you've eaten yellow fried rice this isn't one of those places and doesn't cost more. This is my go-to for Asian dishes. I've tried probably half of their lunch options so far and I've not been disappointed by anything. The flavors are on point and everything is always fresh. They don't use the generic sauces, it's all spiced with their own and it's DELICIOUS. Of all the things I've tried so far the crispy chicken was one of the more interesting ones, because they managed to keep the chicken breading light, crispy, and it didn't get greasy.
Absolutely amazing spicy crispy chicken!!!! Couldn't stop eating it. We ordered the roasted duck, chicken teriyaki lunch box, salt and pepper calamari, pork soup dumplings (which are not available authentically anywhere here in Indy) and they were all very good .... shall I say just AUTHENTIC and awesome. Trying the menu out was a great idea. I recommend it. Plenty of seating in restaurant and sushi bar. Thank you for making such a great experience!!!!
