A great location in downtown Indy, I wish we would've gotten pictures! We spent a long 4 hours out of our hotel enjoying the parks and museums, so by the time we walked into the District Tap, we were exhausted. The friendly staff seated us right away, brought our drinks and recommended items on the menu. That evening a musician was playing in the front and added to the ambiance of the bar. To quote my son, "The club sandwich was the best I've ever had!" Everything was delicious. By recommendation I got the Pork sandwich, a local institution, and it was great! Go here and hang out, but don't forget the great food!

Pork chop is hands down the best thing here. It is an inch thick with nice grill marks on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Pair that up with a killer sauce to dip in. It was quite incredible. Switched out the sides cause asparagus is gross.Walnut salad was remarkable and the salmon was cooked with the same care the pork chop is.Daddy Mac was everything I hoped and dreamed. More pork than Mac, could totally have been a meal on its own, but we really enjoyed sharing it. Would definitely order again.Pretzel was great, sauce it came with was good, easy to share, would order that again too.The cookie dessert is freaking awesome. Skillet is hot, cookie is gooey, ice cream melting over it all. Don’t skip.Sun king orange vanilla sunlight cream ale was everything I hoped and dreamed. I keep thinking I want to try other beers, but I haven’t talked myself into it yet.Overall it is damn good food, great beer selection, price is right, service was quick. Stop by if you’re in town.
Great option for a beer on tap in Indianapolis. An important tip for Brazilians who come to know that here: like most places similar to this one, you need to pay all your orders in advance, in addition to leaving a tip that you can choose between 18% to 22%.
The food was good. The staff friendly. They are a little understaffed. It would be nice if the menu advised about spicy food, like the standard way (little flames, pepper shapes, etc)
Had good food. I recommend the po boy shrimp wrap. Excellent. Nice atmosphere. Great selection of beers, hard ciders hard seltzers. If you want a nice dinner go to The District Tap.
We went early (6:00) and were able to get a table for 4 without a wait. Good beer selection. Food was good, not great. I had the salmon. Could have been cooked just a tad longer. Our friend ordered a rare Filet. It was cooked medium rare. My husband had the mahi mahi tacos and said they were really good. Side portions were large. Our server was good.
Terrible service. We were seated at the bar and asked if we could move to the patio. We were assured a server would wait on us. After 30 minutes no one had come. We went back to the bar to find out if we would ever be waited on. We were told that they were working on a rotation. We promptly asked for the manager. A gentleman by the name of Darrell came to our table. We explained that we had been waiting for 30 minutes. He too said they were working on rotation and that no servers had been assigned so the patio. We asked if this was the case why were we seated and why weren’t we told this so we could have just kept our seats at the bar. Darrell assured us he would find someone to wait on us. Unfortunately he did not. We ended up leaving and will never be back. He should have stepped in and taken our order and handed it off to a server to handle. Clearly he’s not equipped to lead and needs some training. This was such a huge miss on his part.
Visiting from Chicago and was severely disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for a table and once seated, the place went from packed to deserted within minutes. I am extremely tolerant and used to bad service, but this is some of the worst I have experienced. Our server was nonexistent and brought me the wrong drink right off the bat. We waited forever and but when I was ready for a second drink, I had to ask another server for a drink menu. By the time he came to take the order, we were almost done with our meal, so I didn’t even bother. He seemed more interested in the other female servers then his tables.
