Second visit in the last four days. On my first visit there were no seats inside due to a private party that had taken the whole space, but I was accommodated on the patio. I ordered the Seafood risotto. Unfortunately the kitchen had added way too much Saffron in my opinion (the whole dish was quite a dark orange colour) and the strength of that taste overwhelmed the dish, so much so that I could not eat it. The server asked if I would like to choose something else, which I did and that was delicious. He didn't mention that they would take the risotto off the bill, but when the check came, it had been fully discounted. That outcome made me visit again several days later and I had a salmon dish which was perfectly cooked and delicious. However the pièce de résistance was the lemon cheesecake that I chose for dessert, and it wasn't listed on the menu, perhaps a special. The bland-sounding title of the dish did not adequately describe the flavour! I would say that was the best cheesecake I'd ever had the pleasure of eating! Service was good and they have a great selection of craft beers and a pretty decent selection of wines. Well recommended.
The service from Nathan was excellent. Thank you. I had the pork tenderloin, an Indiana favorite, and a couple La Maison (Farmhouse Ale) and they were terrific. Can't wait to return.
This place has an awesome selection of house beers and the food was very good. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and tasty entrees. I had the salmon sandwich and thought it was a good decision. Great service!
On a road trip east we chose to eat at Taxman CityWay based on the restaurant’s use of local ingredients and previous reviews. We were not disappointed. My wife had the Risotto Croquettes and I had the grilled chicken Mac & Cheese. Both dishes were delicious and enjoyable! With inside and outside dining this restaurant provides a fine dining experience for couples and families. (A special thanks to Morgan for helping us with a parking lot issue).
Rachel, our server, was wonderful! She was very personable and easy to chat with. Of our sours and barrel aged flight my favorite had to be the barrel aged ones. My burger was cooked just right and had all the flavors described on the menu. My boyfriends steak sandwich was really good too. They had those good fries, the thick but crispy and brown kind. I even got myself a to go beer, since we don't have that at home. Looking forward to going back next time we are in that area!
Ashley the event coordinator helped me plan a last minute wedding for my brother in 2 weeks. She was great at communicating daily with me & so easy to work with. The staff was all very friendly & helpful as we were setting up our event. Ashley made sure to help us stay on time & not miss out on certain special things we wanted to happen during our event. I appreciate ALL of her help & patience with us. The space itself was beautiful & we loved how it was upstairs away from the main area. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I would recommend this location for anyone hosting an event. It was such a great experience & we truly enjoyed ourselves! Thanks again!
We went here for date night last night because we have loved it before, great food and fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, my salad was quite small, though I ordered a full sized one. The salmon I ordered with it came out in a log shape, just plopped on top, quite unappetizingly. There was very scant amount of dressing so it didn’t have much of a flavor. Worst of all though, the lettuce was wilted, very limp. Maybe that’s why it seemed like such a small amount. When I pointed these things out to the server, she replied that she’d pass it on to the kitchen. No offer for a new dish or reimbursement for a poorly done dish. Disappointing experience to be sure.
$17 veggie bowl doesn’t have much things in it.. also salads are really overpriced. Can’t find a reasonably priced item, but usually, seasonal menu is pretty good

Absolutely delicious brewpub in downtown Indy! We stopped in because it was close to our hotel. I had a sour flight and my husband had a mezcal cocktail. We order fries and Brussels for appetizers. I ordered the Spicy chix sando and he ordered the smash burger. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend the curry ketchup dipping sauce. If we happen to hit Indy again would certainly stop by!
