Was on a short trip to Indianapolis and this is a really cool spot to be it seems. It took me back in time as I am a child of the '80s and definitely am into the retro games. It was like a very cool nostalgic place for adults to just chill, play games, and have a drink if you so desire. I had a couple of beers while playing some really awesome games and some pinball as well. Everything is free play at least the day I went there, except for the pinball machines which you only pay a dollar a play for and it's so worth it because they have so many cool ones. I'm going to be back in the area again for business and I'm definitely going to go back to this place. I didn't get to play all the games I wanted to because I didn't get there early enough. Definitely worth a visit!

Great staff, cool drinks and atmosphere!! Arcade classics galore with a grand time worth having!!

This is best barcade in Indy. That said, for a place called "Tappers" it had a somewhat limited selection drafts. Plenty of IPA's if thats what you like though. Great collection of pinball games.

This place rocks! If you're an introvert like me and like video games this place is for you. They have so many games to play. All games are free except the pinball machines. The banana slushy drink is soooooo good. And the best game they have there is a SHREK PINBALL MACHINE. I literally only played Shrek, Frogger, and Q*bert. Such a fun place. Definitely my 2nd favorite bar now!

Freaking great time! Had 6 out of 7 games my Dad had in our basement when I was a kid! Good drinks and bartender. Would recommend going to take a trip down memory lane to all raised in the 80's!

My Happy Place! Tappers has always been great to go to and revive some arcade memories and play pinball (new and old)! I do not drink alcohol, so I do not have any insight on the drinks, but the fountain soda is a good mixture I must say. They are never pushy on making sure you order something, it is very relaxed and I've only met friendly people there.

Tapper's Arcade Bar is certainly a unique place to hang out and enjoy good old-fashioned arcade games. Upon entering you buy a drink from bar as an admission pass and get a large number of games to play for free, except the pinball machines in the back. There are even old Nintendo game systems hooked to play console games like in old days. The only issue I have is some arcade games are older models and there aren't new ones in yet. Overall this bar is a place for geeks and game lovers like me can unwind and get the arcade experience.

Mostly free play with great drinks and a good spot for a good hang. Any barcade with Killer Queen is killer, in my book.

What a fun place for a date night after dinner! The arcade games brought back so many memories. Beer was good. Looks like you can get drinks too if you aren’t into beer. Games are free when you grab a delicious drink (except for pinball in the back part). Friendly service. Will definitely be back with a group of friends. Hand sanitizer available here and there. Seemed clean. Cannot wait to go back and play some more Q*bert. My teenage favorite.

I've seen these arcade bars in other cities and have always been jealous, so I am really excited that we finally have one here. It doesn't quite hold a candle to some of the ones I have seen in bigger cities as far as games go, but it's still a blast and there is plenty to stay entertained for a long time. The location in great; right off of the cultural trail in Fletcher Place. There is plenty of bike parking around the area, and there are a couple of bike share stations not very far away. I don't know what the car parking situation is like, but I do know the street in front has spots if you can find an open one. Inside, they have a big bar in the middle, and then their arcade games surrounding it. They have a decent number of the popular classics as well as quite a few interesting games that I haven't seen before. Most of their games are free, but the pinball does cost money to play so that they can offset maintenance costs of all of the mechanics inside. The games range from shooters, to sports, to racing, and a wide variety in between. This is a 21+ establishment, so don't bring your kids here thinking it will be a cheap day of entertainment for them. Their beer selection consists of a dozen taps of craft beer. They have a nice variety that includes a lot of local stuff as well as some other craft things from elsewhere that you might not see everywhere. It appears that their tap list rotates pretty frequently. Beers are a little more expensive here since it offsets the free arcade games, but they aren't too terribly priced. It's around $7 for a pint of good craft beer. They also have a couple wine options and some cheaper domestic stuff in cans. Each game has a ledge next to it so you can set your beers down when you are actually playing. Oh, and don't be the guy who shows up and plays free games for 2 hours without buying anything. It's new, unique, and fun; so they are very busy still. If you come later in the evening on a weekend, you shouldn't be surprised to find that it is at capacity and you have to wait outside until people leave. That being said, they do a decent job of limiting the number of people they let in so it doesn't make it impossible to find a game to play or feel too crowded. If you are playing, make sure you only play for a little while before switching games so everyone has the opportunity to play. Earlier in the evening or during the week, it isn't quite as crowded and is definitely when I would recommend going. My one complaint is that they need way more hand sanitizing stations. I feel like other arcade bars have one next to every single game, but I can only recall maybe seeing one here, if I am even remembering that correctly. Seems like an idea setup for spreading nasty things going from a controller that 100 other people have touched before you to grabbing your beer and drinking it.It doesn't appear they really have any room to expand, but it certainly is popular. It is still fairly new, so hopefully business remains booming after they have been open for a while. It would be great if after a while they can start rotating different games in and out to keep things interesting.I'm sure you didn't have to read a Yelp review to know that going to a place with good craft beer and free arcade games is something you should do, but if you did spend the time reading this to make up your mind, just go check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
