My husband and I had a great first experience at Sushi Maki for lunch today. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The staff member was very pleasant. The food came out quickly and was delicious! We got a spicy tuna roll, dragon roll and yummy roll. All three were so tasty and fresh. Also, the prices seemed very fair given that each roll had 10 pieces of sushi.
This is my new favorite sushi place! The spicy rolls were actually spicy and not bland like a lot of places I’ve been to around here. I really recommend giving it a try!
the best sushi in the state of Indiana. if you are allergic to shellfish! They have the best option since there is an incredible variety of vegetarian sushi, they also have the best dessert sushi roll… 100% recommended! everything fresh, clean place and the best attention and pleasant experience.
I really wanted to like this place, but the sushi was below average in terms of taste, especially considering it was over $10 a roll, even for a veggie roll. We tried both veggie and seafood rolls, and found them pretty bland and the rice did not taste fresh. It was disappointing, as we love supporting neighborhood restaurants. We do not plan to order again.
Very good food, fast and friendly service. Got the passion salmon roll. Extremely good, large roll. We also got tempura bento boxes for lunch, and they came with huge portions, all delicious. Really appreciated their use of arugula and spring mix for the salad instead of the nasty, bland lettuce most places use. Really hope this place lasts longer than the last few restaurants that were in this space; it's much better than its predecessors.
Everything except the seaweed paper was perfect. I think they don't do enough business to have fresh seaweed paper. I was the only one eating there at 11:30am on a Thursday. The rice and tuna were perfect! The service was also flawless.
The food was excellent tonight. We chatted with the owners’ son a bit. Would love to see more people in here because we had a great experience. And they got their liquor license now. Will definitely come back. Would love to see a business stay put in this space for awhile. Come give it a try!
I nearly walked out when I saw the prices… I wish I had.$11 for a veggie roll and $15 for a spicy tuna roll. That’s insane. Maybe just maybe I’d pay that if it was worth anywhere near the price in terms of quality but instead it’s over cooked rice and poor execution. This place isn’t even worth a second chance. The audacity…
Staff was nice and proactive coming to our table often asking if we needed anything the entire time. King Kong roll was the best out of the four we had!
