A good place to go with others. We must be safe. Don't ever go alone or with strangers. The staff does what it will for safety, but the violence has grown. We need to keep it in our prayers. Jesus will handle it; HE promised, & HE doesn't lie. Thank you AbbaYaway, Yeshua Hamashiac, and the HOLY Spirit, omnipresent in our hearts ?. AMEN God bless & keep you all! Sharon ✝️ Teater Harvey

I have pretty much exhausted the ramen places within a reasonable distance of indy and i had a #1 for a long time and i must say as picky as i am with it this place became my fave ramen place after one visit!! Ive been many times since then and it is always a great experiance wether its just me or im with friends. All the ingredients hit their marks with flavor and freshness.and that isnt just for the ramen either! Service is great and i love the atmosphere! Love to see the place still expanding menu and staff. They are quite active on social media and you can see they really try to accomodate their customers needs and are still building. This past visit i got newest menu item the tantan mazesoba and a tonkotsu ramen in case i didnt enjoy the new item. And boyy was i wrong to doubt, it was incredible i loved everything about it so much that mid way i poured some of the tonkotsu ramen into the tan tan. A MAZE ING. 1000% recommend this place and dont sleep on their new neighboors landlocked baking. Their flavors amd menu have also been delicious

Always good energy here !!!! Friendly personable staff.

Strange Bird is a gem with some great vibes. Great drinks - alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I'm impressed by the variety of rum and rum based drinks - rum is underrated. The food is also great - Shoyu Shop creates some awesome ramen. The noodles are money - a good bite and the right size. The broth is also jam packed with flavor - you can tell a lot of time is put into making it right. Wings, oysters, green beans...you name it and it has been great. My only critique is related to the ramen - sometimes it's a bit over seasoned (too much salt). A coworker and I had dinner where I got the tonkotsu and he got the dan-dan (?) noodles - great flavor but we both commented on the level of salt.I'd frequent the place more often but it's a 30 min. one-way trek for me.

The tiki drinks are top notch. I love the decor. The food is on point. It would be very hard to find another place that cares as much and is as knowledgeable about exquisite ramen and fresh oysters in the middle of Indiana than these folks. Their mignonette blend is amazing!

Strange Bird had to be my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and all the food is delicious. The ramen is the best ramen I have ever had and the workers there are always so friendly.

TOP 3 RAMEN SPOTS IN INDY ? Let's start with that. Absolutely delicious and what a unique venue to dine in! Props to the chef and the interior decorator(s) ?RAMENI had the Yuzu Shio Ramen ? which features a chintan blend, shio tare, house noodles, chiyu, yuzu kosho, chicken chashu, ajitama, negi, slow roasted tomato, and naruto. The chicken in it was tender and juicy and the egg was perfect! I asked to add an additional egg, which was worth it.The only way it would be improved would be offering a low sodium alternative. Some of us need to watch our salt so it would be more accessible if there was an option --food for thoughtGYOZAWe also ordered the gyoza ? which was made with Impossible protein and pan seared. They are pretty small, just setting expectations.DESSERTFor dessert we shared a tangy sweet key lime pie and a to-die-for chocolate oolong panna cotta which had a blackberry compote and honeycomb crumble. It easily matches up to Gallery Pastry.

Let me first point out all the positive things I loved about this place. The drinks were fantastic and for that I will definitely go back! The place had a super cute decor and lighting. Also they serve oysters and they really know their oysters! Great plus! The main reason for my 3-star review is the unreasonable (they were not packed and they seemed to have many staff) slow service! It took solid 5 minutes for someone to greet us and just pay attention that we are waiting to be seated/put our name for a table/anything!Then we had to wait soooo long for an order of small hotdog and loaded fries. Let’s not talk about the wait for the drinks. The other reason for 3stars is that food prices were a bit too high for a street style food in very small portions.

The salad was really good, the mocktail we got was great - tart, gingery, and pineapple-y (dealers choice) - and the chicken ramen was decent and different than most - bright and lemony. The oysters to us were not the best (seemed really salty and slimy) but it is definitely possible that we just don’t like oysters. Server was nice and translated the menu for us, and the atmosphere was really cute. However, this place felt very overpriced and gentrified, and had very limited food menu options. We mainly came because we heard there were heartbreaker burgers, but there are not I guess after they closed down. Don’t come here when you’re hungry because you will spend over $50 and not feel full by the time you leave. So overall not terrible but definitely more of a place if you want cocktails/snacks.

Such a cool little place with a comfortable vibe! We love going there because there are plenty of vegan options. The Ramen is delicious! Tonight I had the vegan wings and teriyaki green beans. So good! And excellent service from our server Ian.
