Wow! How times have changed. For the worst here. Completely different atmosphere. Food, well...... nothing special. It was hot. Not horrible, but not Steak N Shake. Or im getting old. ?
Fast and friendly service. It had been about 15 years, since I was there last. It has been slightly updated inside, more modernized. Ordered food for my son via the app nd it was ready when I got there - food still hot & shake was still freezing!; definitely an improvement from the last time, like 3 years ago. I will be back!
Horrible service this time. 06/04/2022. Horrible service. That was a picture of the lady just being on her cell phone not caring about anything else as he and her were laughing the whole time. He said they have no eggs now or any chicken and was rude when we ask for extra pickles and onions. They were horrible employee. That I haven't said on her before and normally give 5 star. This shouldn't even get a 1. She moved away from the window when I snapped the picture and when we finally got the order he wouldn't show his face. They sure didn't mind laughing and being rude. They missed out on a great tip too. Name on ticket was larry. Larry was rude and can't find her name and she was rude. Horrible horrible service I have never seen or had in my whole life. 11:57am and food finally after 12:10 pm. Poor customer service. I have ever seen AND I'm always saying tip them they work hard. Well they didn't and lost out on a great tip and a return customer as well. Good luck and be safe my friends.
David or Dave is awesome! He was cooking and still bringing orders out and took the trash I was about to throw away for me. With their new set up ….having no servers, I felt his service was above and beyond! I’m so glad Steak ‘n Shake is making a comeback. Even if it’s more of self serve set up. It’s nostalgic for me. Greenwood on US 31 and stop 11 is by far the best Steak ‘n Shake. Food was delicious as well
This steak n shake is always a wonderful experience. The manager is great and always makes sure my food not only looks as good as the menu but better. If you're looking for a great loaded chili cheese dog look no further. Highly recommended.
I went to this Steak ‘n Shake for the first time in years the other day and I have to say, it was an awesome experience. The service was top-notch. It was timely and you could tell the food was super fresh; just how it should be. 100/10 would definitely recommend to a friend
First of all, the food I had was good.However, they no longer have what I was hoping to get......salad. It's not even offered as a side.Their menu is extremely limited anymore (maybe because of covid). I was very disappointed.You HAVE to order from a touchscreen, no other option (an employee did come over to help if needed). Everything is self serve now.Definitely NOT the Steak and Shake of days gone by......very sad....☹️
Disappointing. I have been eating at S&S since the early 1960s.Walked into a nearly empty Steak & Shake. I thought it was strange for 6PM on a Saturday. I have been not to a S&S since COVID began, so I thought it may be due to COVID.I was surprised there was not a friendly greeter to find me a table. However, I was greeted by TWO LARGE TOUCH SCREENS. No friendly people to take my order...ONLY TWO LARGE TOUCH SCREENS...NO WAITRESSES...ONLY TWO LARGE TOUCH SCREENS...Everything is self serve. You find a table, which was easy since very few people (maybe a dozen besides our party) we're eating there. You get your own cup, you serve yourself from a self serve pop dispenser, you wait for your number to called, you then collect your food and carry it back to your table, then clean up and throw away your own trash.I spoke to the manager to provide some feedback about the new S&S style and was told basically, that 90 % of the customers like the new style (which might explain the lack of full tables) and that is the way it is going to be.So I guess the next time I want a hamburger in Greenwood, I will go across the street to 5 Guys. I will still be able to order from a LIVE person and not a LARGE TOUCH SCREEN...as an added bonus, they have Peanuts. ?

It seems like they’re starting to cut a lot of corners at Steak ‘n Shake now. I hadn’t been there in a few weeks and when I ordered yesterday I found out that the sizes have shrunk quite a bit. I’m pretty sure prices didn’t go down so I guess I’m expected to purchase more to make up for the difference. For the money I’ll probably just go to Five Guys next time. That’ll cost me an extra $7 - $10 for my family of four but at least I know that I’ll be getting what I pay for.
