Sunday 3- Course Special was an awesome value, includes shrimp cocktail (spicy good!), lettuce wedge with Gorgonzola cheese and bacon, and lastly 6-ounce filet so tender and tasty. A couple of options to upgrade steak size, etc. Really good!!
Wasnât the St Elmoâs that we have loved so much in the past. Service was slower that usual and the server seemed very business only, which can be great when service is on par with the servers vibe but it wasnât. Then a large group was sat next to us full of drunk people that were extremely loud and obnoxious. When food came out not properly prepared it was handled fast and mistakes happen, which we get. It just didnât seem to be the best steakhouse in Indy that we are used to.
Neat place to go get a steak. The steaks are typically dry (compared to say, Ruth Chris), so you might consider one of their sauces to go with it. LOTS of "up charges" so be prepared. We went for an early dinner 4:00ish so the ambiance was not optimal, We've been there for an evening dinner - after 7:00 and the atmosphere is much better. Friendly wait staff.

The steak was almost perfect. A little dry, but medium and hot, just how I ask for it. Red skinned mashed potatoes were really good, and the shrimp cocktail was as advertised and worth every penny. St. Elmo's is legendary, so I had to try it during my stay in Indy. Was not disappointed.
Dinner was amazing, and our waiter was fantastic! Highly recommend!
