Josh makes the best bagels and bialys in the city. I've been a customer for years. His sourdough bagel dough is vegan. My favorite is the everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. The cacio e pepe is also bomb and my husband's favorite. I also love the plain bagel with homemade strawberry jam cream cheese.
These are hands down the best bagels, period. They are so delicious fresh, but if you follow the reheating instructions from being in your freezer, they are like eating fresh ones weeks later! Whenever I’m out and at the grocery store I consider buying the bagels but it’s just not the same, and I can’t bring myself to do it.The schmears are amazing too and you can’t skip out on trying at LEAST one!If you haven’t tried this place yet, please do. You will NOT be disappointed! :)
Sidedoor Bagel is a fantastic bagel shop. The options are so creative and taste amazing. The shop is modern and fun and the staff are friendly. The only real downside IMO is the shop is tiny and that generally requires waiting in line outside the building. If you’re cool with that your patience is rewarded.
Pleasantly surprised! I was tight on time and needed to grab a quick breakfast. I did a quick search on Google Maps for “bagels near me” and this place popped up. It’s small and people were making really LARGE take out orders of bagels and cream cheese spread. It was taking a little time and I was getting a little stressed, but the staff did a really good job of moving things along. It was decently fast considering the volume they were processing. Once I got my bagel and took a bite: “YUM!” Well worth it! Kind of pricey, but then again what isn’t these days!?
I made it my personal mission to make a drive over to “Side Door Bagel” at least once a week. I get the spicy everything bagels with the spicy vegan Schmeer and they’re wonderful. They put such a nice amount of everything spice on the bagels that you really get the great full flavor of the toasted spices. I’ve never had a bagel that is so good. The staff is very friendly the bagels are awesome life is good! Keep up the great work.
Yumm There is a variety of fresh bagels. This was my first time here. I had an everything bagel, with a smear of smoked bacon, which was from the Smoking Goose). Loved the everything bagel, & the bacon smear, but together I found it to be a little salty for my palette.. Welcome to the neighborhood!!
OMG these are the best bagels I’ve had! They are the perfect mix of crunch and chewy! I highly recommend if you love bagels! Their veggie cream schmear has fresh veggies all throughout! I will most definitely be going back at least once a week! The shop is so cute and the owner is so nice!
Delicious bagels and accommodating staff! Will definitely repeat in future for company meetings. Most people have never had really good bagels before! One of just a small amount of Indiana bakeries that provides them.
These are the best bagels in Indianapolis that I’ve had and they’re conveniently located close to downtown. My only complaint/issue is that I wish I could get a bagel + cream cheese with just lox on it as opposed to the full priced open bagel sandwich (which is very good) or the lox cream cheese schmear. Overall, I enjoy going here and I’m very glad to have a great bagel place nearby!
Best place to get bagels downtown. Good variety & texture, tastes delish, lox is legit. Seems to be hopping on the weekend, but line moves fast, tho more variety during the week
