I read about this company before I wrote my review trying to understand how Shake Shack stands to continue against pretty much any mainstream burger venue, let alone gourmet. I recognize now this restaurant is a cause focused venture. I’m certainly open to assisting in community betterment, but I don’t think I’ll use this means to do so after my first experience. Upon entry, I reviewed a fairly concise menu and selected the “Shack Stack”, fries, and large “Fifty-Fifty” (aka a 24oz. Arnold Palmer”). While the website and site menu details premium ingredients and sustainable sourcing, I found the burger smallish against competitors with basic flavor. The Ore-Ida Golden Crinkles styled fries tasted like Ore-Ida Golden Crinkles. My ranch ramekin was filled a quarter. My “Fifty-Fifty” and refill was watered down as was my lunch partner’s. Having a “sustainability” mention in reading material found me tossing my plastic cup by staff request for a fresh one; refills take place behind the counter. We searched for the cleanest table to dine, finding one with just crumbs present. Walked over fries smashed on the floor, with debris, and paper material were down there as well. A staff member dropped a napkin, thought about picking it up, then walked off. Another employee checked on us during our stay, but did not address cleanliness. He was kind. I don’t see myself returning for a $23 burger, fries, and drink, to this level. I’m sad for my review. The effort business people put into getting vision to reality is admirable; However, this particular set up is not for me.
Alright..so I'll start by stating that I'm a vegetarian.. And honestly there aren't many options for vegetarian burgers to choose from in US. And among the ones that are available..i wasn't able to find a burger that could satisfy my cravings..Enter Shake Shack.. and BOOM.. it's done!So i ordered the only vegetarian burger available here.. The Shroom Burger..Now..i am not a huge fan of mushrooms.. so i was skeptical about it at first.. But going by the recommendations of my friends..i decided to take the leap..After waiting for less than 5 mins.. It was there.. not gonna lie.. It smelled and looked delicious.. i had my first bite.. and man.. i closed my eyes in sheer awe of this burger.. Finally.. Finally i was having a taste in my mouth that i was craving for.. finally a burger that was so close to the ones i loved back there in India.. finally a burger that actually appeased my hunger..God i loved it! I loved every bite of this burger..Along with the burger, i also ordered potato fries with buffalo seasoning on it.. they were amazing too.. The extra spiciness added to my already amazing experience! The overall ambience of the place was also nice.. Clean and not too overcrowded..I liked everything about this place and would definitely recommend everyone to give it a try..
The food, as usual, is great ! i had the chicken shack and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches i’ve ever had. I recommend!
This was our first visit. We found street parking (on a Sunday) within a block. Easy kiosk and counter ordering options. Good hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and specialty drinks with free refills. Nice restrooms. Good day for a walk along Mass Ave with the family.
It was a very nice experience. Everyone was very friendly the environment was a great experience to be in as well. You could feel the acceptance and the food smelled amazing and tasted great!! I would definitely recommend anyone going.
Almost 20 bucks for a small cheeseburger and cold fries? No thank you. There are too many other great places to get a better cheeseburgers for less within walking distance.
Burgers were great, well cooked! Fries cooked to a good crisp and the shakes were amazing. Perfect date night !
Service is good. Burger is good. Fries are crinkle cut - not a huge fan personally. Sadly there are no other sides.I only frequent because of location. What I ordered today was $16 (Double Shack Burger, Fry and Coke). Steak N Shake would have been $7 and honestly tastes nearly the same.If you are craving a smash burger and aren't near a Steak N Shake, this will satisfy your craving, just be ready to open your wallet.
Very disappointed in the execution of my order. Paid $56 to be missing a burger and have all the condiments I asked for on the side to be on the entrees. Keystone location is much better at execution of orders.
About a week ago, my boyfriend and I checked out Shake Shack's newest location downtown. To be honest, my favorite thing I ordered there was the pomegranate yuzu winterade. The burger and fries were ok. Very greasy. I've had better. If I ever go back, it'll probably be for the winterades and milkshakes.
