Lived in Broad Ripple for 10 years but never tried Sahara until a week ago (actually thought it was a chain restaurant so I avoided). It is actually family owned.... I've been twice in the last week and is quickly becoming my go to restaurant. Service is great. Super friendly. Food is very good and price is extremely reasonable. Today, we ordered the chicken shwarma and lamb gyro meals which came to $21. Both were excellent. Only issue I've had is the fries being a little undercooked which was corrected on the second visit. Again, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Absolutely delicious. They grill the lamb fresh and the hummus is amazing. It was also way less crowded than the surrounding places. A hidden ish gem

Assalamualaikum. By far the best service, food, and drinks. We were greeted by the owner with hot tea and a warm inviting environment. I find it hard to believe anyone would ever have a bad thing to say about this place. Very intimate and welcoming. This is NOT fast food and you will never experience anything so authentic and tasty. Laid back, no rush, and so wonderful. There were four of us and EVERYTHING was perfect. Later in the lunch the owner gave us complimentary dessert and the Turkish coffee was to die for. We spent a very lengthy time in the restaurant and had the greatest time and service. The owner was great, his family was great, and we will be back many more times to come. If you have not been here.....go! Thank you Sahara and I hope you and your family remain blessed and with an over abundance of gifts and joy from Allah.. The Smith Party

When done correctly, shawarma, falafel, and hummus can be finger-licking good. They're also delicious in shawarma wraps. The single - and most serious - issue is the taste of most shawarma wraps available at fast food restaurants. You've seen them! Wraps with a ketchup-mayonnaise sauce and salad that requires assistance to be appetizing.Sahara restaurant provides casual meals in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.People also ask:What days are Sahara Restaurant open?Mon-Thu, Sun 11:00 am - 9:00 pmFri-Sat 11:00 am - 12:00 amWhat are their Covid 19 safety practices like? They've been seen adopting social separation, donning masks, and sterilizing between visitors.

Absolutely delicious!! The family who owns it is amazing! Great service, everything is wonderful.

This family owned space has a special place in my heart. I say this as food connoisseur, their veggie combo plate is on point! I I often come solely for the stuffed grape leaves and babaghanoush, but it's honestly all delicious and the owner takes such pride in his space. From the decor they designed and created to the delicious, authentic menu. I will be back again, and again for delicious food and the great atmosphere that is provided.

We walked in once trying to find somewhere to eat. The staff was really nice and friendly. We looked at the menu and decided that we were not in the mood for Greek food that night, but we will definitely be back in the future because it looked like they had great choices, it was clean, and prices were good!

Good taste but the portion size is small for the price. The food taste was good though.

This place is delicious! We were happy to finally find great tasting Mediterranean food near Indy. We had the hummus, tabouli, kabob sandwich, beef shawarma and hot tea. So good! Highly recommend! We will be back.

I love this place so much! The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are very kind. Try it! You won’t be disappointed!
