New to the area this was my second time eating here. The first time I thought the Mac and cheese was too peppery, (that has been addressed in a previous post/review by someone else and the owner) and the rib tips were a little dry. This time around I ordered ribs, (only available Thurs, Fri and Sat FYI), catfish, okra, Mac and cheese, and carrot cake. WOW SO GLAD I CAME BACK! The ribs were moist and smoked perfectly, Mac and cheese was creamy and while pepper was present it did not overwhelm. The catfish was tender, flakey and fried perfectly. Okra was delicious and carrot cake was very nice, not super sweet, but moist and flavorful. The family has already made the plan for our next order. We shall return. Thank you for a great meal with lots of left overs!

Great service food was excellent and filling, this is the pull pork brisket sandwich with Sweet bbq, my sides where Mac n cheese/coleslaw

Food was very good! Had a missing item but they responded swiftly to rectify the mistake! Excellent customer service!

Great rib tips! Their sides are very good too!

The pulled pork sandwiches are pretty good along with the mac n cheese and green beans. They gave me enough pulled pork for two sandwiches which is a plus!

Awesome food and great staff. Rib tips was juicy and delicious. Had the meal with baked beans and coleslaw.

Definitely disappointed. EVERYTHING smelled delicious but, it all lacked flavor. We purchased catfish and perch that were both fried to perfection with no seasoning. I had pork rib tips that smelled amazing and tasted like grill. The only thing that did have taste was the peach cobbler.

The brisket was flavored well, moist and not over smoked. However, I came in at 12:15 and wanted a rack of ribs. They told me they were already out an hour after opening. ? If you’re going to own a serious BBQ joint, you need to have your ribs ready to go and love BBQ. So I ended up ordering the rib tips, maybe I got the last of them. They were just a little tough and a bit dry but good flavor. Maybe I just hit at the wrong time. Guess I’ll keep looking for awesome Indy BBQ.

My Totally honest opinion! First off the atmosphere was good and the staff was nice. I also didn't have to wait long to get my food...I got the rib tips with greens and mac and cheese. Greens were not my favorite but they weren't terrible, mac and cheese was great, I didn't love the mixed BBQ sauce but the tips tasted so good they didn't need it!...overall I wasn't disappointed and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu

Give it a try! This place really has that Southern smoke flavor to the meats! I had the brisket sandwich and it was wonderful!! Next time I’m bringing home A pound of it?. The smoked chicken was great also, I only had a taste of it because that’s all my husband would share with me! The peach cobbler was very good. I plan to try the cherry cobbler on my next visit and the fried catfish, so look for my next review— hopefully very soon! Next time, I’ll try to control myself and take photos of the food!! Oh, and my husband noticed a photo of a soldier on the wall and asked one of the workers who it was, and it was the owner’s father and I believe the name of the place came from him.
