Well I certainly tried. I usually slide over to Hoagies and Hops when I'm this way to get the best Philly in town, but I thought to myself "let's support a black owned spot this time". A Google search led me to Public House. The food pics look amazing. You can smell the food from the street. I'm excited. Problem is,I never got to try the food. It didn't bother me that the food is priced at level that would command a much better dining experience and overall aesthetic of the place. Didn't matter, I'm still all in. The problem was, my wait for my food became unbearable for 2 reasons. 1) it took an unreasonable amount of time considering there's only one other patron in the whole place, which brings me #2. The only other occupants in the dining area were children.. )VERY LOUD children.The children appeared to be attached to the people working there (not patrons). I'll add there's no AC so it's also really hot. Eventually I snap out of it and realize I'm in a boarder line torturous situation here. I walk up to the counter simply state "I'm good" and I'm immediately offered a refund. So here I'm am back to my original plan and getting ready to sink my teeth into the best Philly in Indy. ??♂️
Me and my family went to get some Public House today. Salmon nachos, seafood pasta, chicken club sandwich and some chicken wings it was good.
First time. Veggie egg rolls look and tasted home made. Second time, look and tasted like frozen food. Smh a waste of $12 Always try to stick with what you started with. Also, I don’t recommend the lamb ramen.
Okay so I ate at Public house yesterday. I can honestly say I would recommend them to anyone. It’s very diverse ?and the music was great the vibe was great! The food amazing, looks just like the pic. Today I even heard one of the ladies yell “Hey how y’all doing”! Shows she care someone is in her spot happy and eating good. Keep up the good vibes at this place. I think I’ll eat here once a month lol. Y’all should add some alcohol beverages like some fruity drinks or something for the summer.???
It smells amazing as soon as you hit the door! I ordered the Salmon tacos, veggie egg rolls and the wings. All were pretty good but the wings were the star! I'm excited to try the lamb chops next time I go. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the customer service wasn't up to my standard but I will return again.
We drove 2hrs to experience public house & it was amazing nice friendly staff! The food was amazing All ima say is this food is made with love & perfection.
I went here twice (two days back to back) and the food was fantastic. I got the chicken sandwich as well as the garlic chicken, the sauces and portion sizes and great. Expect for a little bit of a wait, it isn’t a fast food restaurant. It’s worth the wait!
So delicious! Very cute place with some creative dishes that are phenomenal. The shrimp quesadillas, veggie rolls, and chicken sandwich were so good! Definitely coming back and bringing more people.
No restroom. Yuk How unsanitary is that! Not only could I not use the restroom after driving a hour to get there I’m not able to wash my hands before I eat. And then we tried to make reservations a week prior but they told us first come first serve. Then we we got there at 3 o’clock they ask did we have reservations because they weren’t seating anyone else. They also didn’t have on the menu what was advertised! Just so Ghetto! I was so PISSED I didn’t even want to order to go.
