We are from out of town but go to On the Border frequently in other cities. Stopped by this location on a Saturday night around 5:30. Before the typical weekend night dinner rush. We were concerned when we walked up that it was closed . Only a few cars in the side lot we parked in and they could have been for the restaurant next door. The place also looked VERY run down. Landscaping and door and trim paint flaking. We saw some movement inside and went on it . We had entered from the side , the bar area and there were about 3 tables seated. We went to the hostess stand where it would be 45min to an hour for our party of 3. There was about 6-7 tables seated, only about every 4th table or so . There were three parties of 4 to 5 each waiting . We considered giving our name and waiting . The lady in the booth around the corner close to the hostess stand leaned out and mouthed ... don't wait , we had to wait a long time for food and a seat and it was NOT worth it. So we headed out. I realize so many places are suffering from lack of staff but I had to warn people with our limited experience .
If you’re looking for some really good tasty margaritas, you gotta come here. I’ve tried different margaritas from many different Mexican restaurants in the area and this one is hands down the best of the bunch. The melon margarita taste so smooth and sweet, you get yourself 2 to make sure ??. I really like this restaurant, the atmosphere, music, and the food is worth the price in my opinion. Dope place, give it a shot ?
The service was slow and horrible. The waiter was serving and bartending by herself. I ordered 3 appetizers and she only bought out 2. She bought out cold food and walked away immediately. She did not wait long enough to make sure our food was okay. It took her 5 min before she came back with the third appetizers which was over cooked chipotle shrimp. She never apologized, she took our cold appetizers which was flautas and primo style queso. It looked like they reheated it and sent it back to us. The meat inside the flautas was hard. When I advised the waiter she still didn’t apologize and she walked off.
Our server was very on top of things and so attentive; she was perfect & went above and beyond! The food was super tasty too & all the employees were super friendly & wanting to help!
We were there for dinning and But we have to wait 5min. Nobody at the front and try to give us seat, they just straight ignore us. Other family said 3 parties left for same issue. By the way, restaurant was completely empty that time lol. Putting reviews for restaurant owner.
This is Mexican Applebee's. Straight forward, this is not a real Mexican restaurant. We go here when we want meat covered in cheese. The food is very tasty but they are chronically understaffed and even if you're the only table in the restaurant, your food will take 30 minutes as they probably only have one person doing everything.
Walked in, appeared to be 4 employees and 4 tables and they all looked at us and ignored us for about 10 minutes, so we left. I understand if someone’s short staffed, it’s just courteous to tell us they don’t have the capacity for another tables. We would have understood but this was unacceptable.
Waited over an hour for a drink and food soul and nachos to be exact and it’s empty in the restaurant… NEVER come back … not to mention they’re rude ..: definitely lacks customer service
Desert was amazing! Food looked great, but taste the same, there was no unique flavors in either item from the sampler.
My friends seemed to enjoy their meal they ate most of it. They got a pineapple margarita each which neither of them cared to finish. I got a strawberry shaker which wasn't worth its price and for some reason the waiter made me pour it from the shaker into the cup myself. This may be normal at places like this but other places I've been to AT LEAST pour the initial drink and leave the shaker. I ordered the Carne asada. The steak was cooked deliciously but the rice portion was impossibly small and undercook they charred my jalapeño and at other Mexican restaurants I've been to it comes with beans but not at OTB. The waitor was mostly nice though and the location was convenient.
