Food was great service absolutely was horrible. We arrived here was only 4 tables had people . Ordered our meals basic fried foods nothing special. Took 2 hrs. to get chicken tenders. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks before I walked to the bar to get them myself... Don't waste your time coming here.... On top of it all the waitress was literally acting like she was dying breathing crazy like a panic attack. In short enjoy a great meal somewhere else.
Nachos were cold, chicken salad was good but we will not go back. Very hardworking waitresses but very short handed, long wait to be seated, phone ringing 10 minutes with no one around to answer. They should close their doors & clean the entire interior. Window wooden shudders & foot rests at bar were covered in thick dust. DEFINITELY needs a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. Sign of the times....
Had ribs and chicken, chicken had hard gristle from time to time. The ribs had an amazing taste, just super hard in the ends which I only could eat the middle. The beer is ice cold
Just went today for lunch…4-3-22… restaurant was almost empty. The young hostess didn’t smile at anyone coming in. There was a family in front of us that wanted a particular waitress and their party was good sized. They opted out of being sat at the available table and decided to wait for the one they wanted. This sparked an eye roll from the hosts who turned her attention to us. She asked us to wait so she could clean a booth (even though there were several empty tables and booths). Nevertheless, we waited. She made a full trip around the restaurant before cleaning the booth. Maybe,….ocd or something? Who knows? We were greeted right away by our server, Sharon. We thought the hostess may have just been having a bad day at this point. She got our drink order out right away, took our order, and brought us rolls. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a salad. It took 30 minutes to get our food. The fries were lukewarm. The salad had wilted lettuce in it. We were going to order a to go meal but thought better of it. She never came to ask how our food was. We asked for mustard and had to ask again. At this point she had picked up a third table. And then, she disappeared. So we waited and waited for our check. I got up and approached another server who was standing at the waitress stand DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TO GO BOXES and asked her for one of them and explained that we were ready to leave and didn’t know where our server was and she flipped the box impatiently behind her and said, “HERE”….. ?… so apparently none of them wanted to be bothered with doing their jobs today. Not the O’Charley’s I worked for years ago when Jay and Dave were in charge. We never saw a manager while we were in there so the infamous “table touch” that O’Charley’s used to practice didn’t happen either. This place disappointed today and I won’t be back.
Five FULL stars for this spot.Even on a busy, very difficult night, with uptight (and in a couple of cases, flat-out WACKY) demanding customers, this location gave us a fantastic experience last night. Our server Annette and manager on duty Lupe, were so professional and kept operations going as smoothly as possible, even with customers present who were being intentionally belligerent and FOOLISHLY petty. **A word to patrons: if you can’t respect HARD working staff in a food service establishment, who are doing the best they can in a challenging environment, then stay home, heat up a frozen pizza, and keep your toxic attitude, temper and ego away from servers and managers who are already spread too thin. Those are HARD jobs, and they have a lot to put up with for no more than they earn. YOU couldn’t do what they do.**The food was just amazing, the place was clean and well-appointed, and we appreciated how much staff CARED about our experience. Go see Annette - fantastic, experienced server.Thank you to staff for all you do each day. We’ll be back, for sure.

Service was great!! Dinner was very good with the exception my steak wasn't the right temp. Supposed to be Med-rare. Was almost well done. It was ok to eat so I went with it. That won't stop us from going back!!

With how short staffed this restaurant is, their employees are still extremely friendly and kind. They have a very dedicated staff, yes the wait is longer, but worth it! Southport O Charley's definitely has the best staff and you guys are doing an excellent job! Very much appreciated
