Food: I have fairly high expectations of Ethiopian food as I've lived near a solid restaurant before, and I've been to Ethiopia a few times as well. This restaurant was not bad, but usually Ethiopian food sings to me, and this time it didn't. The Injera was delicious, but the dishs served atop were just fine. But no music. The honey wine was also delicious--well worth trying. Service: Great service, and the food surprised me at how fast it came out. Value: I walked out of there with a $30 tab for dining alone. I felt it was a little overpriced. Decor: The interior is nice, and typical of other Ethiopian restaurants I have been in. The exterior a little less so.

Amazing service - he was pleasant attentive and efficient. Food was good and restaurant was clean.

The food was delicious! We loved the coffee and popcorn that came after the meal. Seriously, the coffee was so so good. ????

Came for dinner based on the good reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Got the lamb combo for 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend. Cute atmosphere. Lots of parking.

I went there on a Monday, February 14, 2022. I was amazed by the place design so I was taking a video of the place when the owner came over and told me what's my problem, I told him I too own my own bar and I thought the place was impressive. Then he followed to say "this what's wrong with Ethiopians, you are so secretive, why didn't you tell me you wanted to copy my place and ask permission before taking a video " I explained am from Nashville, Tennessee, I came to the restaurant cuz I wanted Ethiopian food, not because of some evil plan to copy his restaurant, that I didn't even own an Ethiopian restaurant, I owned a hookah bar. I own multiple businesses and a non-profit organization too, I have never felt threatened by a customer checking out my place out of admiration. The owner was rude as it gets and I felt like it was because I was Ethiopian. I seen him cater to the white people there and he treated us like a second citizen. It was self hate at it's finest. I lost my appetite right away so I requested for a to-go box right away and left. The food wasn't that great to add insult to injury. It was a watered down version of Ethiopian traditional food. I DONT PROMOTE EATING AT ANY PLACE THAT ADVOCATE FOR HATE AND PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT BASED ON RACE. It's important to treat everyone the same in business because if you do good, people might tell a few people, once you do bad, despicable in this case, the customer is going to tell everyone. Please change your treatment to foreign people, or people need to stop supporting it cuz it's served with a side dish of hate. Am also reporting this with BBB

My wife and I spent a weekend in Indianapolis and when I saw the unique style of food from this restaurant (and the glowing reviews), I knew we had to try it.We enjoyed the atmosphere the moment we walked in, and we grabbed a pair of menus before sitting down to discuss our options. My wife is vegan, so she was glad to have several dishes to choose between, but I was happy to settle on a lamb dish. My wife chose a mushroom dish (I can't remember exactly what it was). The food came relatively quickly, and was a huge portion for the price. Each dish came on a platter probably 1-1/2 feet wide, with a spongy bread covering the entire plate and mounds of food dotted all over the bread. We had to ask how exactly to eat our meal (turns out you grab the food in between a piece of bread with your fingers), and our server (and maybe owner?) was happy to explain. She was extremely pleasant the entire visit and made some interesting conversation.Neither my wife nor I were able to finish even half of the meal before becoming full, and we had to explain to our server that it was delicious, just too much for one sitting (though we excitedly took the leftovers home). My lamb dish was quite delicious--lots of flavor and spiciness. From the twelve or so other foods, not all of them were my favorite, but lots of them were quite tasty. The spongy bread itself actually didn't sit great with me--had a slightly strange fermented taste--but overall, the food was a solid 4 stars. Large portions for a reasonable price and exemplary service make this an all around 5-star experience!

Amazing Ethiopian food. If you're never had it before, I'd recommend starting at this place. The mushroom dish is *chef's kiss*. Service was super friendly too- would come back if ever in Indy!

We found this place on a whim and I am so glad we did. We have gone here over and over again. It is hands down my new favorite food and restaurant. Order the Major Combinations to try a variety of new flavors and foods. You won't regret it.

Delicious food, great service. Amazing Tej!

I got the lamb combo and it was awesome! Good vegetarian options as well. Definitely will be back.
