I guess it was good chicken but wouldn't call it Nashville Hot Chicken. Had the quarter dark at 'Hot' and it was anything but. Very tame, not crispy, tons of grease. Huge portion and still pretty good but not really why I came.

I used to frequent this location very often on my lunch breaks. My wife and I were in the area and decided to have dinner here. The prices have since went up since they opened understandable as so is everything and everywhere else. The chicken tenders had tendons which is the worst when you bite into them. The collard greens taste just like canned greens with little to no seasoning which they used to be top tier. The Mac and cheese for $3 per side is portioned at a kids meal size and was not very cheesy. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied after spending $26 on subpar meals. Also dining room could use a good cleaning as well.

Chicken was not very good, I had the spicy chicken, it was wayyy too oily and tasted like old oil. The fries were the only good part, but even they were cold. For the price we paid we would expect more out of it. Drinks aren't even included with your meal . Made me sick the say after

This location blows Broad Ripple out of the water. Great service and chicken at both locations. If you really want hot chicken, 96th street does it right! Broad Ripple is for sissy wannabes! ? get the app and get offers!

Chicken tenders and fries. Very good chicken, one of the best in Indy. Always quality food! Got it door dashed was stuck at work and really wanted something comforting. Was still hot and was just like I got it at the restaurant.Fries are really good as well.Need to get the chicken and waffles next time!Check it out if your haven’t

It used to a good place to go where I enjoyed the food, in fact I ate there often. I hadn't been there for awhile and my Mother wanted to go someplace for a good chicken sandwich, so I thought 'Joella's'! The nontraditional sodas were gone, the dining room was filthy, no one was cleaning (let alone sanitizing) tables.... but what bothered me the most was that the employees would stop taking care of the customers that actually came to Joella's to eat to take care of the delivery people running Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. Our food sat in the window (I saw it and even had to go and ask that they serve it to us) while they would stand with open bags waiting to fulfill delivery orders before they were even ready to bag up, and wait, and wait for the delivery food to be finished being prepared. Needless to say, our food wasn't hot... or good.

The chicken was 5 stars! Super tender, juicy, fall apart chicken. Ella's Fav sauce, highly recommend. The staff was top notch, friendly folks. Price point was good. I gave the Parm fries a whirl, eh, 3.5 stars for me but it was worth the try. I'd go a different route next time. Definitely need to try this place. Absolutely recommend. It was my first time and won't be my last. Thanks ya'll!

Good:The food is very good, very flavorful food and they are pretty quick.Neutral: drink options, this one is a bit odd as if your one who enjoys a Coke, they don't have that, they use more general flavor names so it's a bit of trial and error on the drinks.Bad: price, don't get me wrong it's not the worst iv seen. I have seen more expensive chicken. But if I am doing something bad it's the price, but at the same time the high price goes to the higher quality of ingredients used in the food.Over all amazing job. I don't drop by often as I'm tipicly passing by. But if you are looking for some good chicken you have come to the right place.

Customer service is not so great. I called to order a total of 8 orders with sides included. I got home and I was missing half of the sides of my order. I could have checked before leaving the place but that is also part of their job to have the order complete for the customers. I also paid over the phone to avoid going inside and just pick it up curbside but when I pulled in, they told me I had to go inside to get my order.

The breaded chicken tenders were very very good. The sides were solid (we had mashed potatoes & mac & cheese). They offer fountain drinks with options that is unique, not typical Pepsi or Coke products. The establishment was clean and staff was solid. This restaurant is similar to a City BBQ but for Chicken. We visited recently for the first time and will definitely come back.
