TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! You can tell this place is run by amateurs. They NEVER stick to business hours… Jimmie’s opens whenever they want. They even announced “new” hours, just to suddenly close down for over a week for no apparent reason. If you’re short staffed, why even make the announcement? Don’t support this wishy washy business.
Good food, accurate order, reasonable prices, but a lengthy wait time. Still recommend if you aren't in a hurry or on a lunch break for work???
I got the world famous steak and shrimp fries and they are straight trash! The meat is live not steak... taste like liver, feels like liver, it's liver... on top of that, the shrimp was chewy and everything was under seasoned... Honestly I think that the flavor mixture is just totally oft, especially the queso cheese... The only thing I can say is that the food was hot and looked just like the picture... other than that, I'm not a fan like at all... yuck yuck yuck... wish I could get my money back.
I do whatever I can to support black business and this was my second time ordering a meal. First issue online ordering and a phone number is listed I called and the told me the don't take orders over the phone. I show up and walk on the most stickyist floor I've ever encountered then there's a young man at the register clearly untrained and unprofessional so that was a red Flagg for me! It's not the young man's fault, but if you going to put the young men out there then atleast train them to be somewhat professional as they can ! I even watched a customer just cancel her order within five minutes of ordering. The food was sub standard more like the new generation grandma's trying to keep the soulfood tradition going. I see potential in the restaurant but major improvements in staff behavior, cleaning of the restaurant and ....
place a order for delivery with special instructions for all the toppings on my nacho to b kept sperated when i got my food the cheese was on the chips an so was the shrimp which still had the tails on them an they tasted old(rotten) my nacho was soggy an even tho i called right after placing my order to make sure they knew to place ALL toppings on the side they still didnt i also asked for peppers which i didnt get this nacho was almost 20$ an to not get what i want was disappointing not to mention my gf loaded potated had the same bad tasting shrimp on them?? i emailed the business an was asked the name on the order i replied but nothing else was said after that ????????????

Just ate at Jimmies and the food was super mediocre. Its hard to find real soul food in Indy, and this was another miss. Im going to keep cooking at home.
Food is always good! The owner and her partner are really nice and professional. Had their hot honey Turkey strips for the first time and i enjoyed them. Food is made with love and is worth the wait!
I had the loaded potato fry and when I say delicious , I mean DELICIOUS. The loaded potato fry is cheese fries topped with steak , chicken, shrimp, and broccoli. I also had the “cousins” side dish which is macaroni and cheese mixed with sweet potatoes. The perfect blend of cheesy and sweet. 10/10 highly recommend!
