Saturday lunch had fish tacos special, lobster nachos, clam chowder. Lobster nachos plentiful chips alot of shredded lettuce, Some slightly spicy chowder cheese sauce sliced red peppers (nice touch) and definitely some real lobster pieces. First time ever had this blend, and probably enough as an appetizer for 2-4 people large serving but enough for 1-2 people. Somehow would have enhanced the lobster/seafood flavor but a good twist. There was an option for two additional seafood components one was shrimp so might try that someday. Fish tacos the shell was typical soft and the medium/heavy coarse breaded fried fish were unusually shaped cylindrical rods so I thought overcooked dark breading and fish inside still slightly moist so maybe could have been fried a tad less. Sauce was almost a slight cilantro-like accent flavored and it was room temperature which I expected it to be warmer. The clam chowder was tasty for the clams with a smooth creamy sauce but not sure about the potato cubes they texture somehow were more soft than you'd expect in a fresh soup almost as if overcooked and hollow to the bite unexpected from other restaurants' but still enough firmness to be slightly bulky/filling. The fish tacos special were $14, lobster nachos $18 and clam chowder $6. I probably would have been happy with just a couple servings of clam chowder! Actually full after the clam chowder and half the lobster nachos and a little bit of the fish tacos, the rest saved for later. It was cold outside and wish the food itself was warmer temperature. The server was cordial and polite so no issues there.
Had the lobster Mac and cheese. Wasn’t anything special and would not get it again. Would be willing to try again and get something else on the menu
Cold-style lobster roll and fish taco were both fine, but at the price point and with the many other options at The Garage it's tough to recommend wholeheartedly. Not sure where else in the city you can get a cold-style roll, so this place falls into a "only if you've got a craving for this specific thing and are nearby" category.
Lobster roll was excellent, crab roll was fresh but fishy tasting. The atmosphere here is loud & busy. Great if you are younger crowd, $60 for 2 sandwiches & then I couldn't hear my husband & had to yell to conversate. I will def go back, but with friends or get to go.
Lobster bisque is great, as are the fries and grilled cheese. This is always a solid choice when eating at The Garage.Service is excellent and the manager seems to run a good team. There’s an Amish kid that really hustles and cares but doesn’t talk much, the other guys seem pretty cool though.
The food was amazing and the rolls are amazing! i’ve heard so many great things about the restaurant and i was extra impressed! So good 10/10 recommend
Horrible $30 lunch. The Clam Chowder tasted spoiled and sour. The Shrimp and Corn Chowder was even more sour. Apparently both were old and turned.
My husband and I tried this place for the first time last night and we were expressed. We ate the whole boat cheesy fries. 10/10
$23 lobster roll, worth every penny. Their bbq chips were outstanding as well. The lobster bisque was pretty good, but only 1 piece of lump lobster. Great place to eat!
Attention! Please do not eat at this place. You can give it try if you want to waste your money.1- I was charged $25 for a lobster roll with very little meat. I did not mind the price at first because I was craving lobster for some time but the presentation, taste, and portion don’t justify the price.2- the lobster absolutely stinks and had a strong fishy smellI would not even try it even if it was given for free. I was surprised that people actually order from this place after I tasted it. Unfortunately, I did not look at google reviews before placing my order.I feel sorry for the people that gave this place a 5 star recently. They probably never had a good lobster roll like the ones in the east coast.
