Husband and I had dinner here tonight. He's familiar with the restaurant while I'm not, but we both enjoy trying Indian dishes. I tried something new to me but had seen on food blogs for some time, kothu parotta mutton. It was exactly what I'd hoped it would be - DELICIOUS! The kind waiter wanted to make sure I understood what I was ordering and explained how the dish is made. It confirmed my decision that I'd made the right choice. It was SO GOOD!! Great food, great service and great people! We'll be coming back more often for sure!
India Sizzling - should be renamed as India Fizzled for us and our family. The lack of service, the supreme apathy from the waitstaff made us feel pretty unwelcome. We waited 1.5hrs before any appetizers or refreshments were served. The food was delicious when we eventually got it (after repeatedly pleading) but great food alone does not make the restaurant great. The service was extremely lacking and in desperate need of a competent front of house manager. I would recommend this establishment for take out or catering but wouldn’t wish the headache and hunger associated with the in-house experience on my worst enemy.
Chili paneer appetizer is a MUST. This is my favorite restaurant in Indy. I try to order my food at least 45 minutes ahead of time because they usually take that long. I think they make their food fresh and that's why it's so good. I once got the same entree twice in one day and they were completely different colors, I think because they don't make stuff in bulk and the ingredients are fresh. They both tasted delicious regardless of color!
Our food was incredible! One of the best orders of Gobi Manchurian I've had--not greasy like some places. I also ordered a Masala Dosa, which was delicious. My friend ordered Samosas and Chicken Tikka Masala and loved it.As far as COVID precautions, all staff was properly masked, which we greatly appreciated.I can't wait to go back!
This is the best buffet that I have ever been to, a must try place. If you want to eat the buffet go on the weekend days and go early cause it is crowded in there. I loved the fried chicken and the halwa was the best.
I am fond of Desi buffets and this place never fails to amaze me. Their weekend buffet is amazing so is the regular menu on the rest of the days. Customer service is great, too. Highly recommend India Sizzling II.
Food was fantastic! Spiced just right. Had Egg Kalakki and Mysore Dosa. Service was a bit slow but that's expected now in a pandemic. Will try again on my next business trip.
I love the food at this restaurant and usually go there for the lunch buffet. BEWARE…if you happen to go on a “holiday” you will pay $20(+tax)for the exact same buffet that costs $12 on ordinary days. We did not see any notice of a “special holiday price”. It’s deceptive and bad public relations.
This is very cozy little Indian restaurant. I did the Friday lunch buffet and it was incredible. There is a nice selection of vegan and meat dishes, including soups and each one is a authentic eating experience. The staff is top notch which is such a lost art.Excellent on all fronts.
If you love Indian Food then you must eat here but I recommend dine in or carry out during the week or Saturday. I was a bit taken back during the Buffet on Sunday, there is not a sneeze guard over the meat line which I know is a Health Dept. Violation. There were also people that were taking their plate they ate off of and going back through the line for more food and they were not stopped. I'm not sure how I feel about buffets with COVID but we did take our own bottle of hand sanitizer. We will be back but not during the buffet unless things change.
