I got married during covid and my husband and I wanted to skip a “wedding” and have a big party at our house instead. We wanted fun catering where people could eat what they wanted, when they wanted and not have traditional catering that is made ahead and transported. I’m so glad we found Lisa and Greiner’s / Indie Food Trucks. We were able to cater an 8 hour party for 175 people with a huge variety of delicious food - gourmet sandwiches, tacos, salads, salted carmel brownie sundaes and more.Lisa owns multiple trucks and will customize a menu to your needs. Her team is amazing - they came early to set up in our driveway and kept cooking for hours. Not only are they good cooks but they are fun and friendly too. All our guests loved the variety and unique flavor combos.We are definitely going to call Lisa next time we have a big event and couldn’t recommend her or her team more highly.
If you're looking for the taste you experienced in your teens from this sub shop, you'll be disappointed. But! That doesn't negatively impact what they are doing today.The past is what it is and should remain there. The man who created that taste you enjoyed while eating his food has long since departed, and with him it seems, the original taste of the food of our past!Don't let this stop you from enjoying the Greiner's sub shop if today... Still a great place to eat!
Amazing sandwhich shop, good place to grab a bite to eat if you like traditional subs. Staff is super nice too
The food can be really good but it just doesn't stay consistent it's kind of a hit and miss today was really good on the sandwich but I don't know where it went wrong on the macaroni salad don't get me wrong but they're very wonderful people I will continue to go there especially for the brownies

Greiner's is a great neighborhood sandwich shop with generous portions, delicious ingredients, and great folks. The subs are so huge you'll be waddling away in pleasure, and the treats - from the brownies to the mac and cheese - are just incredible. Do yourself a favor and stop in to Greiner's...or better yet, move to Garfield Park so you can walk there every day!
I sent a friend for a roast beef sandwich from a place down the street but the friend went here instead. I'd never eaten at Greiner's bc of how bad their parking lot looks. The building kept me away but there I was with their sandwich. First off, it was pretty and quite tasty. The bread was wonderful, veggies crisp. The sandwich was awesome. My experience was positive. I intended to return until I read about some alleged problems with the board of health. After searching for and reading the Department of Health violations "Greiner's", I will not eat here again.
Hoagie with a side of Buffalo mac and cheese on this trip. So good. This might be one of those hidden gems, definitely worth checking it out. I will be back, plenty of options on the menu to try out yet.
Amazing Philly cheese steak subs and the brownies are to die for! My husband and I have been loyal Greiner’s customers for 45 years and we continue to come even though it is now a 50 minute drive since we moved. The owner, Lisa, really cares about her customers and ensuring your meal is great. Keep up the good work!!
We showed up today and they were just opening for a private event. She let us come in and made us amazing sandwiches. The foods amazing, atmosphere is relaxing, and so adorably decorated.#childhoodfavorite
