My wife found Gomez BBQ on a Google search. We were needing a catered order for an event. We visited in wanting to try the food beforehand. Holly was working, and was friendly, knowledgeable and took really good care of us. The sampler plate and chicken quesidilla were excellent.Mike Gomez prepared chicken and baked beans for our event and people were highly impressed with the preparation, flavor and execution of his product. His ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork were enjoyed by myself, my wife and my brother and sister in law. Cajun potato salad in point. Greens very flavorful. This is the best BBQ I've had anywhere.Period.AND he sells chips made by Broad Ripple Chip Co!I'll definately visit this establishment for every bbq craving I get.
I had the brisket biscuits and gravy with egg. AMAZING!!! The brisket was tender and delicious. The homemade gravy was phenomenal!!! I will definitely be going back to try the other menu items. I also got ribs to go but haven't tried them yet.
Used them for a large catering event for over 220 people. Great food, service, set-up. Easy communication with the owner over the ordering, billing/invoice, setup, etc.All of the attendee's were huge fans of the food and were asking us where we ordered from. Definitely would order again from them!
Really enjoyed the vibe and the grub. I had a bowl, rice was great, BBQ pulled pork very flavorful. Spanish corn was unique, mixed in with the bowl, very good either way. Tasty custom sodas. Really like the decor, owner present and engaged, think he was only one working. Would like to try breakfast. Definitely hit them up if you're nearby, or not.
Best BBQ in the city, hands down. I could eat the bbq chicken quesadilla every single day! Also, if you see the steamed buns on the menu, GET THEM! You won't be disappointed! They are the perfect little bite! Lastly, Gomez BBQ has a really amazing and unique beer selection! Check them out!
This might be the best bang for your buck BBQ in the city right now. Great food, great staff, and extremely reasonable pricing compared to other BBQ joints in the city.I misread their hours and stopped by this morning to buy a coffee while they were closed. The owner STILL let me in and made me coffee while he was doing prep work.We are going to make this a weekly stop for our family moving forward
Oh So Excellent!! Bean dip is fire! Bbq nachos were loaded with meat. Chicken quesadilla was absolutely delicious. Beware of the Cajun potato salad, it's extremely spicy. I look forward to trying more of theemu
Finally made it to Gomez BBQ today! I got to have the Sunday breakfast sandwich a day early … triple decker breakfast sandwich with such amazing flavor and a cold brew with vanilla … yum yum yum. My only wish would be living closer. For the dude who said the portions were small well this sandwich was massive. Maybe he is used to poor quality food at a fast food joint. I love a small business with a big ❤️ any day of the week. Anyway can’t wait to be back on the east side to try lunch.
Tastes good but the portions are laughingly small. Two small pieces of brisket (half of which was fat), and 6 potato chips for 12$. Really dry bread. It's closer to half a lunch than a full one, I'd go elsewhere unless you want to buy two portions or be hungry the rest of the day (I'm not a big guy either, about 170). The staff was really friendly and pleasant each time too fwiw
Super yummy BBQ place. Very flavorful sauce and very tender brisket, chicken, ribs, and shredded pork. Also, a very nice, mellow coffee bar; very conducive to sipping a cortado while you chat up the friendly staff.
