We got great service from Francine at Fat Dans! The food was amazing. We loved everything. You even know walking by that you’re going to eat good by the amazing smell of the restaurant. It is quick service, a clean restaurant, and the food tastes amazing! A must go to place in the area!
We ventured downtown Indy on our way back to Michigan . It was worth the trip. I’ll be stopping in there again soon. Tots are good and my Turkey burger was one of the best I’ve ever had! Fresh and flavorful!!
The rueben was very good. The dirty tots were amazing with that hot sauce on then. I've had the smoked wings and really enjoy them. Going to try some BBQ next time. Cool place to be too!
We walked out before getting our main food.Two of us out of a three person party arrived around noon. There were only a few people in the restaurant, but it still took a while trying to get a server's attention to be able to get drinks and an appetizer while we waited on the last member of our party. When he arrived, around 12:20, it was another 20 minutes of constantly trying to flag down a server to order our sandwiches. When we still had no food by 1:30, we left and went down the street to get tacos.With staffing shortages, I understand service at most restaurants is harder than usual. But the service at this Fat Dan's location was beyond excuse. Our server never looked at us, instead facing away from our table while we ordered. It was very odd. In the end, an hour wait for sandwiches in a restaurant that seats maybe 50 people was just too much. The food may be great, but we never got a chance to find out.
First time there. My hamburger and fries were 1 step above average, but still nothing to write home about. I was more shocked at my final bill, 1 single patty hamburger, some fries and a drink. $19.57 plus tip. Food is good, but not $19.57 good. I guess your paying for the upscale trendy atmosphere they are trying to portray. Try it at least once, but you too maybe hit with sticker shock. Good luck...

It was good and just as greasy as the name suggests. Food came out pretty timely and was good but the bbq sauce that came with my brisket was congealed so I didn’t end up using it. I usually would just ask for another one but I was in a rush and had to leave soon. The service was great though and our server helped our group split our checks easily. Not bad, I’d probably come again.
Great place to eat. Food and service was amazing and on point. Very clean tables and restrooms. Other restaurants in this area could learn a thing or two from Fat Dan's Deli. Can't wait until the next time I m in the area, so I can stop back in. I had the Fat Dan's Double Burger with fries and it was perfect. I wouldn't mind trying everything on the menu but that's going to take while. Keep doing it Fat Dan and I'll see you soon.
Service was unequalled. Food was VERY plentiful, served with style, and quality of offerings was on par with the service. If you pass up an opportunity to try Fat Dance Deli, (cafe tables outside, too!) you have done yourself a great disservice.
Really enjoyed the funky vibe!!! I know better, when you go to a place to eat, order what they are known for! Order Brisket, and or wings! Yummy, the BBQ sauce is great! Loaded totes are great too, nice and tangy! Drink lots of water, salty! Very fun though! People were very nice!
