Wonderful amazing food. So very nice and friendly services fast as well enjoyed the whole experience ?
We always get the all american feast and we have a party of 10 or more when we go and we still bring home some leftovers... the staff are always friendly and on top of their game...
Took my mother-in-law out for mothers day dinner. We were running late and arrived at the restaurant at 830 and they had been dead all evening they said. They were already preparing to close but said that we could still order. They sat us in the bar area and our waiter was a gentleman and treated us with great service. I want to thank everyone who was working tonight!! The food was absolutely amazing and so was all the staff.
The waitress was great. The fried pickles were really fried. Cheese curds were ? My family liked their meals. I enjoyed mine too but I didn't get my mashed potatoes until after I already ate the rest of my food. In their defense it was almost close when we went so I'd still go back.
We had reservations for our party of 6 and when we arrived on time, we were told that they did not have a table for us and that we would need to wait up to 90 minutes. I spoke to a manager and expressed my disappointment at their approach to reservations. I suggested that they should have looked ahead and been prepared for our arrival. The manager said she was covering for someone else and acknowledged that the front end staff had not handled our reservation appropriately. I asked if they could move two 4-tops together and accommodate us? I pointed out that when we arrived, they actually had two 4-tops available, but the front end staff seated walk-ins in those tables while telling us to wait up to 90 minutes. The manager said she would make it work. Within about 40 minutes we were seated. Once we were seated, it took nearly another 15 minutes for a server to approach us. When the food arrived, the corn was cool, and the meat was just barely warm. And they did not bring out the food for one of our party. So they had to take his order again. So he ate his food after the rest of us were finished. They did end up comping his meal. On balance I would have to say that this was not a good experience. I will not return. For $90 plus tip, this was not a good value.
I haven't eaten Famous Dave's in a long time, no longer in South Bend so I was real excited to eat at Famous Dave's once again, delicious food ? chicken, ribs, brisket, corn on the cob, fries, baked beans and cornbread.?
I decided to treat my mom to dinner tonight, but we did not get to eat. After standing at the front and waiting to be seated for 3 minutes, we were seated at a dirty table. The floor was in desperate need of a good sweep and mop. The table had food particles, water rings, and a dirty paper towel. We figured they were slowing down on cleaning because it was after 8 and they close at 10. A guy then approaches our table and says “hello, what can I get you to drink?” But before we can answer, he says “oh wait, I’m not your waiter. I’ll take your drink order since I’m here but you have a different waiter.” He brings my mom’s drink within seconds. After that, no one else came to our table for 20 minutes. Needless to say, we grabbed our purses and got out of there. I hate to play the race card, but we were the only black people in the restaurant at the time, so I can’t help but feel like that’s why we were neglected. Famous Dave’s is my mom’s favorite barbecue spot, so this is very disappointing.
Love this place! I have yet to find a better corn muffin. Meat was juicy, warm, flavorful. Service was a little on the slow side but the workers were moving as quick as they could. I'm glad they have soldiered through the pandemic...I would be heartbroken if this place closed.Love the napkins being provided on the table. The price was right for the food...I had leftovers. :oDThanks for a tasty meal.
Waitress was nice, food was delicious. Watch your portion sizes please. I had to send back my lunch salad because it literally had 5 pieces of lettuce. The waitress was great and said she noticed it was very skimpy and took it back. I have been there many times and nothing has ever been wrong so good job and I will be back.
They had workers walk out so our reservation was pointless. They were only doing carry out so we opted to go to another restaurant. They did hand us gift cards to come back another time.
