Charges 8 dollars for beer like robbers and then won’t let you carry it out.
I had a drink in my hand and got checked by security DURING the show three times for a wristband. Totally inappropriate to interrupt guests during the show. And the second guy was so rude. After telling him I had already been checked, he said I "would keep getting checked more times because I look young." Trash venue, trash staff, and the sound quality was weak given how long this venue has been around.
This venue? Trash. The security? TRASH. Overall experience TRASH. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A VENUE.

Drove over 2 hours to see Midland, upgraded our seats and had to leave early because the sound was so horrible. We've seen Midland several times and they are amazing but I'm not sure what the FOH guy was on last night. Absolute disappointment
This was my first time going to old national center. not welcoming at all, $11 for a Pabst, Security is SUPER aggressive. I got detained and kicked out over a Beach Ball at a punk show.
I attended a concert here this past weekend. I had traveled in from out of state for this. I had looked up the purse requirements for my particular show and the venue in general, beforehand to make sure I packed the appropriate things. I even called days before and confirmed that the purse size requirements were 10x10. I am a type 1 diabetic and have to carry certain things with me at all times to maintain my health and for possible emergencies. 1 hour before the show, my friend called again to confirm and was then told the requirements were changed to 6x4/clear bags only. Me knowing that all the things vital for me to bring with me would not fit in a 6x4 bag, I called back to ask why the rules were changed and if there were any accommodations for people with medical issues. While talking to an rude employee on the phone, I was told that they did not care about my medical issues and that I "could put my stuff in a clear garbage bag if you have a problem with our policies." I was then hung up on. After arriving to the show and seeing that bag sizes were not being checked(neither were covid vaccine cards that they assured were required at the door) I was justifiably upset. This venue is not organized or disability friendly so please keep that in mind if you are booking a trip/event with this venue. Employees were super rude and unprofessional. The band was super great so that made up for the bad venue!
Awesome venue. Been here one other time but that was 10+ years ago. My only complaint was at times it would get interlay to hot. Couple times I felt like I was gonna pass out and then the fans would kick on.
