Came here for lunch with high hopes. Ended up being rather disappointed. It wasn't very busy when I arrived...only three tables were seated during the after-church lunch rush. That should've been my first clue. Service was reluctant to even acknowledge my presence, but I guess they eventually ran out of excuses to ignore me. Ordered three tacos de carnitas. When they came out, my heart sank. Just tortillas and meat. No onion, no cilantro, no lime, no radish, no salsa. Just tortillas and meat. Now, I will admit that the carnitas were pretty good. Still juicy with some crusty bits. But dang, they just sat there all naked and sad looking. I sorta felt sorry for the little guys, knowing what they should have looked like. Fortunately, they did leave a bottle of Tapatio on the table (maybe they forgot to hide it.) Next time, I'll stick with Paco's.

Very friendly wait staff. The street tacos were amazing. They can be ordered individually (i.e. lengua, carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, pollo). Two would be plenty, three would fill up a big eater. The beans were a bit salty, but the flavor was amazingly good. The best refried beans I've had at a Mexican restaurant.
Literally the best tacos in the city. Me and all my powerlifting friends come here and get a ton of the tacos. Don Juan also is one of the coolest people in the restaurant business. Absolute legend. I could not recommend this place enough. The standard is set here and everyone else is imitating.
ATTENTION EVERYONE ON SOUTH SIDE. I worked at Cholita for a year and if anyone knows they are were the best until Don Juan taqueria decided to show up and show off!!!!! So delicious, clean, awesome staff, and best of all the uniquely thought out food that is like a heavenly ? roller coaster leaving you breathless happy and wanting to go again!!!

This place is the BEST TAQUERIA EVER!! REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!! I live in Cali & am home visiting and I felt like I was eating Tacos from California!! ABSOLUTELY MY NEW FAVORITE INDIANA TAQUERIA!! ????❤️ITA DEFINITE MUST TRY!! ?
I need to give this one another go. The carnitas themselves were good but missing accompanying sides to mix with, making them kinda plain by themselves. Rice and beans were meh. I did ask for a side of salsa and sour cream and that helped spice it up. The floor tortillas were garbage though. What I wouldn't give for some old Don Pablo's flour tortillas... The meal with a coke was $15 after tax.

Excellent food and friendly, bellissimo service. Whatever her name was she stole my corazone. Great tacos. Will go back next time I'm doing my laundry over there.
