I presently have a knee issue and I called in the day before and told them I needed to be on the bottom floor near the lobby. They "pre booked" me in Room #118 assuring me we wouldn't need to take the elevator or walk far. I "checked in" on my mobile app the day before, so when we arrived the following day, Hannah at the Front Desk didn't greet us when we came in and I had to tell her my name, she quickly grabbed my prebooked room key. It was on the fourth floor. I told her that the day before they prebooked me in room #118. She said "you mobile checked in" and that's what they assigned you. I asked her to look again and she was looking in the computer for a while, and said there was nothing available. So, I then decided whatever, so I pulled out my Marriott credit card and she said I didn't need to show it, they had it in the computer already. I also asked her about my Titanium Benefits, including breakfast and she said they didn't offer anything. (which is incorrect). So, we went to the fourth floor room, which was WAY AT THE END of the hallway, farthest from the Lobby. The room was a King Suite and was clean. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning. This hotel needs a big update. Being a non-smoking hotel, the couch clearly had a cigarette hole in the arm. The cushions looked very warn. Even in a King Suite, the bathroom is in the living area and when you enter the toilet/shower area the door barely clears the toilet. My husband is 6foot 3inches and he barely cleared the toilet with the door. When you take a shower you step right in front of the toilet and if you have the door open, it swings into the get out of the tub wet area to dry off. Very bad design. We saw the General Manager in her office, and I stopped and asked her if we get free breakfast because of my Titanium Status and she said yes. She went into our reservation and put it in. I told her about checking in with Hannah who didn't acknowledge the status, or denied any benefits. That evening, after a long hot day at the Indy Speedway, we went down to the Bistro around 5ish. The gal who worked Thursday evening, was also not welcoming. I asked her what was good, and she pointed to the above menu on the wall and said "well, whatever you like"??? The menu options are quite limited. Being tired we didn't want to go somewhere else, so we just ordered the Burger. I asked for Medium Well, and she said they're premade Well and she pops them in an oven right there that you can see. Luckily the burgers ended up being good. When we filled out the check to pay, I put down to charge to our room. The server came over while we were eating and stated that the Front Desk didn't have my credit card on file. I told her Hannah said I didn't need to. When we were done eating, we went over at 6pm on a Thursday, and the guy at the Front Desk said Hannah should have scanned my card for incidentals. I also told him about her lack of knowledge, unfriendliness, and unprofessionalism. He apologized and scanned my credit card. The next morning.....I needed my morning coffee. I noticed the coffee maker in my room leaved alot to be desired and the paper coffee cups were not prewrapped and just 3 of them sitting there where anyone could touch them. So, I decided to wait to go down for breakfast at 6:30am. When we came downstairs, the gal at the front desk stayed seated, looking quite tired, on her phone, shoes off, and barely acknowledged us. The Bistro were just opening, and I noticed 2 gals by the Bistro and one of them clearly looked like she just stumbled in out of bed with jeans and a plain t-shirt on. No greeting from them, acted annoyed that we were there first thing, although there were 4 other people there waiting too. I've eaten at a many Courtyard bistros, and even though its early for employees it's there jobs to look good, great guests with a good morning, give information when asked, and they clearly didn't like their jobs, or were too tired to care, and dressed badly. We ord
The Marriot has the best beds, hands down. The cost was very reasonable with beautifully designed lobby and rooms. The pool was pleasantly warmed and the hot tub perfectly hot! That's a rarety anywhere!!!
We have stayed at this Courtyard many times before with no problems and great service. We always have done Park and fly. This was not the case May 2022. The room smelled of mold and smoke. The pull out bed mattress was moldy. The shuttle on the way back told us they would come right back to get us and took 45 minutes. The staff on the way back from our trip were not nice. Very upsetting especially since our van had the catalytic converter stolen while we were gone. I know it’s not there responsibility but they could have been more accommodating with the situation. We were told, “Oh” and the front desk staff walked away. Very disappointed. Be aware if you stay here.
Great location. Modern and updated feel. They have a good restaurant on property (limited bar food menu) with a nice patio. They have airport parking while you travel and a shuttle to the airport that starts early. Great friendly service.
I'm a frequent Marriott traveler, as in half the year in Marriot branded hotels. This property, and staff, rooms were all nice. The Price was twice as high, as a nearby, in a nicer area Sheraton, after my first night using points. The value proposition, stopped right there. At two consecutive Indy area Courtyard stays, separate properties, I've had billing disputes. Very frustrating!!! A $40 dollar hamburger, billed to my room. Miscellaneous charges. For $40, I'm eating Sushi! And, I'm usually only there to sleep, maybe watch a show.
Use the app for mobile check in; very nice pleasant staff at reception and at dinner; Angela Frederking helped me out with some printing and is very helpful; room is a little dated but super clean and functional
We transferred to this hotel from another in the area due to VERY poor service there.\\n\\nThe Courtyard was very accommodating not only to me and my family but to others as well. I new from the friendly reception by three (3) staff members at 10:15 p.m., and the modern decor, we were in the right place.\\n\\nDue to flight delays and cancellations, the hotel would end up being sold out... on a Thursday night.\\n\\nEarly Friday morning there was an issue with the sink in our suite being clogged. I called the front desk around 6:30 a.m. A staff member answered the phone on the second ring and attended to my concern. I believe her name was Renee.\\n\\nI was offered the option to either wait until the service tech arrived a little later in the morning or move to the only other suite available. We chose to wait.\\n\\nAround 10:00 a.m. or so the service tech arrived and corrected the drain issue. He was diligent in his work and fully cleaned the work area when done.\\n\\nThe hotel offered a limited but delicious breakfast menu and complementary coffee each day.\\n\\nOur suite had both a mini fridge AND microwave. The hotel had an indoor pool, functional jacuzzi and small but clean and modern fitness center.\\n\\nThe ONLY mild issue we encountered was the time consumed traveling to restaurants, shopping and city center (about 25-35 mins each way).\\n\\nOverall, I am well pleased with our stay.
Desk people were kind and helpful. Breakfast food was good - wish it was free like the old days though. Room was good but hotel seemed old and in need of an update. I'd stay here again though since it is only 15 min from downtown.
Very Friendly Staff and nice hotel Loved the Bistro. I will come back. Despite the the reviews. I would recommend. Make sure you get to meet Shaundra at the front Desk. Love the firepit outdoors the only downside nothing in the area.
There are homeless people staying in the hotel across the street, at the holiday-inn, I have no problem with the homeless being sheltered in a hotel. However our vehicle was broken into, when the police arrived they were they told us there have been a lot of break ins in the area with the homeless. They told the hotel they should add security or cameras to the partying lot. When we approached the hotel and called corporate they said that it not there responsibility to keep our cars safe…
