I got the catfish macaroni and cheese and the sweet potatoes. Everything tasted great except the macaroni. Y’all gotta get a better recipe because it’s NOT good at all. Sweet, runny, noodles looked over cooked.Other than that it was good.
Food is great. Smothered pork chops, greens, dressing, cornbread. Brownie is excellent. Wish they were open more than 1 day a week.
This last visit and the one before that, I have been completely dissatisfied. I go here EVERY SUNDAY and have always been pleased. But my last two visits have been less than satisfactory. My last visit they should not have let it leave the building. Baked chicken was dry, macaroni and cheese was dry and the servings were that of a child’s plate. As long as I have come to this establishment I have decided not to return or recommend to anyone at this time.
First time visitor.. listen yall...this restaurant is all that I had ever asked for in a soul food restaurant! I would like to first start off with the workers. They were all so polite. Kevin is the bomb yall! The cashier was so patient with me. One of the servers teased my husband due to the fact of him never knowing what desert to order???The building is clean and menu well put together!Now let's talk about the food!! I order dressing, mac-n-cheese and yams. OMG was it good!! BLACK OWNED RESTAURANT THAT DESERVES 100 STARS!! I will be back soon!The only issue I have is the one day a week. I wish they were opened more!
I wasn't able to take a picture. Today was my first time eating here. The staff is friendly here and full of smiles. I ordered the pork chop dinner with mac&cheese and sweet potatoes and it was excellent. I will be coming back very soon.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is EXACTLY what we were looking for AND some !! People flock here for good reason! Someone else picked up our catfish dinners and after they realized that, they remade our entire order so that everything was fresh and hot and they brought desserts and drinks for the inconvenience and STILL asked if there was anything else they could get the kids or us.. the owner came out to us him self. It really was a great experience and so family oriented. The customer service is some of the best weve ever had and we go alot of places from neighborhood grills to the most upscale steak houses in the city and this little humble place was one of the best yet!!!! I got the smothered pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy and my boyfriend ordered the smothered chicken with greens and yams, the kids got the catfish and it was so good and I dont eat catfish at all. It wasnt fishy at all and it was crispy and fresh. We will most definitely return.. They are only open ON Sundays fyi. I'm sad that we can only go once a week ??.

The food was amazing! I live in Louisville, KY and I will definitely ear here when I visit again. I loved the atmosphere and family concept. Ms. Amber is a jewel! She was very friendly and helpful.
